Dream woke up to the sound of her cellphone. She grabbed it and held it to her ear. "Hello?" she answered the call while still lowering her head on the pillow.
"Dream, he's gone," Aljean said on the phone as she cried.
Dream broke down when she heard her friend's cries. "What?"
"He was very drunk last night. He was very hurt. He said he wanted to end his life. Suddenly he left, speeding the car and crashing. He got an accident. We are here now at the funeral home."
***********
Dream's tears flowed as she approached the coffin. It happened so fast and she it's hard to believe. Just yesterday she argue with Jao but now she is seeing him in a coffin. It's so difficult to accept what is happening.
Dream bursts into tears. "Jao, why did you leave me?" The casket had no glass so she could hold his body freely. "I'm sorry for what I said. I love you. I'm sorry I didn't tell you." She hugged Jao's body. "Jao, I love you. I hope you hear me. I love you."
She was still crying when she noticed the man was still breathing. She lift up her head and watch him intently. "Jao?" She put her ear to his chest and listened to his heartbeat. "Jao, you're alive," Dream said happily while crying. She turned to Ayla and Aljean who were just behind her. "Jao is still breathing. Let's take him to the hospital."
"No need. It's just hang over," Aljean said.
"What?" Dream was shocked at what her friend said.
They heard Jao yawning and Dream's attention is back to him. Jao got up and stretched out his hands. "Good morning. What happened?"
