"Is this what they call.."I look up at Tomioka-san, his eyes are sparkling blue.
"Love..?"
"Love."He.. said it at the same time as me.
Looking down at me, he gives me a warm smile sending me into a fleeting panic.
Immediately, I look away to try and avoid turning into a tomato.
"What are you on about?" I pout.
I turn my head away from him, trying to calm myself down and not stare at him, my face is flushed and my heart is pounding so loud in my chest.
Suddenly, I feel a hand touching my chin, without resistance, my head is turned back toward Tomioka-san.
He leaned in while I wasn't looking.. His face now extremely close to mine, with his hand remaining on my chin.
I try to turn away but he holds my head directly toward him.
It was no secret Tomioka-san was dashing, but when he really uses it it's impossible to comprehend.
"T.. Tomioka-san!"
I nervously back away and laugh, I think I'm going to pass out.My eyes are darting around the field, trying to focus on anything that isn't him.
I try to steady my wobbling legs, taking shallow breaths. My whole body is flimsy and weak.
"Hey.. Look at me." he says.
Reluctantly, we lock eyes.
"I can feel your heart racing, Shinobu."
I feel my butterfly pin falling loose, but I'm frozen, stunned by Tomioka-san.
He finally lets go off me and takes a few steps back, however, he seems unsatisfied with how I reacted.
"It kind of looked like we were going to kiss, you know." I playfully teased as I regained my composure.
.
.
.There's a moment of silence. Things have never been this awkward between me and Tomioka-san.
"That was the point." he says.
He turns around and starts running off.
"Bye, Koucho." he turns his head and smiles charmingly.
It feels like my limbs are noodles, my palms are sweaty and I feel butterflies in my stomach.
Was he actually hoping to kiss me..?
