Jo made her way into school next to Tina, Artie and Mercedes. All three of them laughing and going through vocal runs, while she looked around, not really interested in what they were talking about.

She didn't really consider them her friends just yet. Maybe she would in the future but not now. She didn't know them well enough, though it seemed that they considered her a friend since every time she turned a corner, one of them popped up out of no where to talk to her. Of course she would listen and give quick answers and smile, but she would much rather walk alone or with Noah, she was comfortable around him since she's known him basically since diapers.

Mr. Schue appeared next to Jo, snapping her out of her daydream. "Morning guys"

"Hey Mr. Schue" Mercedes laughed, "we're just learning some runs. So it goes, oh oh oh oh oh" Mercedes sang, the others copying her.

Jo looked around her, sighing once she spotted all the football players surrounding Kurt at the dumpsters, Noah next to him.

Jo ran over, leaving the other four she was walking with. "Noah!" She called, gaining all the footballers' attention, "what do you think you're doing?" She asked, stopping in front of them.

Noah wrapped his arm over Kurts shoulder, Kurt looking at him, both disgusted and annoyed, "Hey Jo, just having a chat with my boy Kurt here"

Jo rolled her eyes, "Well, if you don't mind me stealing him from you then" she reached over, grabbing Kurts hand and pulling him away from Noah.

"No way!" One of the other footballers yelled making Jo turn and face him.

"You got a problem?" She asked.

The footballer smirked at his friends, "Oh no, I made the little princess mad" he said sarcastically, his friends laughing with him. "What are you gonna do about it, Shortie?"

Noah sighed, muttering under his breath. He already knew where this was going, "oh boy"

Jo let go of Kurts hand and pulled up her sleeve. She looked at the boy, smiling, "Yeah, that's funny" she then swung her fist at the boys face, sending him stumbling back into his friends, who stared at them, wide eyed.

The guy she hit looked back at her, anger evident on his face. He took a step towards her. Jo would be lying if she said she wasn't terrified, but she refused to show it. "Oh, come here you little-"

He walked forward making her flinch, expecting him to hit her back since it's happened before, but Noah stood in front of her before his 'friend' could get close enough to her. "Just, back off dude. Chill"

"No way," the guy pushed Noah back, making him collide with Jo. "I'm done going easy on this freak," he pointed at Jo, "just because you've got a crush on her!"

Jo turned to Kurt, mouthing "go". She waved her hand, making him nod unsurely before running off.

"I'm not-" Noah started but got cut off by another player.

"Come on, man" he said to the guy that Jo hit, "we'll get her back, sometime Puckerman isn't there to defend her" Jo bit her lip, growing worried as she watched all the guys turn and walk away, leaving her alone with Noah.
