She leaned back at the door and cried. She just felt she caused the trouble. Not knowing Epy was her fault not his. She hadn't been interested before. She cried because she feared for her father's life, her own and suddenly this family's lives.

Nella with a heart like her mum's she just couldn't hold alot in. She let it all out and cried. In a few hours she had felt everything in her life had been a mistake. May be existing also wasn't for her.

She walked to the washroom. Stood at the mirror looking at her self. This wasn't what she expected of her life. Things had started to fall into place until she had met Epy. Things fell apart, bodies fell and peace left.

"I can explain Cherry." Epy stood at the door staring at her in the mirror. She turned around, wiped her tears and hugged him so tight.

"I am sorry i never asked Epy." she assured him it was okay.

Epy felt guilty too he had not told her the truth about himself and his research. All of it of late had been a selfish research project on her until they bonded over the dead bodies at her place. Cleaning it had wiped away his guilt. Atleast not all of it.

" I don't know what to say. Can we start all over. I am Epy, a gyna, surgeon in training, computer geek for the sake of Nana actually. I am a dad to a 8 years old, divorced for 5 years. Never got vaccinated nor sick besides the flu. I call it" HACK". I live with Nana, everyone calls her that since my son was born. I have my own clinic. I am a morning jog addict, keeping healthy is not an option. " he smiled at her.

She blushed and extended her hand for a greeting.

" I am Nella. A PR professional, content developer, speech writer and well, am in psychology, almost done and already opening my own clinic too. None is anyone's influence, it's all mine.  I don't think i have anything else to add." she laughed as he joined her.

Nana was leaning on the door and heard each of their words. She smiled acknowledging what had happened. She let them be and left for bed not worried abit about the now police situation down the street. It wasn't her calling. She was " retired" after all.

" Will you be mine in this journey?" he asked her.

She didn't reply. She just walked around to her now side of the bed and lay facing down. She had heard this words again from Charles. Epy tried to ask her again, this time asking her to be part of him and his son's life.

Well, she had thought only once about it, the thought of being a step mom and she had shivered at it. She had grown under several step moms so thin and tall ever catwalking in the house. Some a shadow on the walls others merely visibal. She had lost count of them all. But she had a best mom, Anna Rita. Anna had taken her everywhere even introducing her to most of the PR world. She had been a best mom. She had not visited her recently, she thought.

"Is it too much to ask?" Epy lay next to her.

"Will I be asking too much when I ask us to visit my mom?" she sat up.

" As you wish, we should rest before my laptop beeps and am up tracing a bait laptop we just used on the kid ." he said

She slipped into his arms and whispered.

" I can't sleep. I will wait with you. I want your warmth. " she pressed hard on her arms. She could feel his already heated up member. She pressed the areas too with pleasure and started what was a long tale of love making.

She couldn't take it anymore and rolled out on the other side of the bed.

" Your laptop has been beeping!" she told him giggling. He jumped out and sat on his bed typing furiously on the lap.

He had been doing that for almost an hour when Nana knocked.

"Damn it Nana!" he cursed

"What is it!" he half shouted into the intercom waking up Nella. She pointed out he was naked and threw shorts at him.

"Better dress up and talk to Nana!"

Nana pulled him in to his research room and asked him to find the location of the laptop. She too had timed herself out to be just in time for the laptop's first beep if not the second.

They found the laptop in an old warehouse, vacated in the late 90s and now a no go zone area. On it was a private airstrip most likely now covered by crawling plants, eroded away or may be still in good condition. Epy zoomed into the map and spotted a car parked. Last update of the image was the previous year. So it wasn't that informative.

The ware house belonged to one of the largest early settlers in the area who had contributed fighting a locust invasion in the 70s which had almost eaten everything in the country causing a major drought.

"It says here it hasn't been in use since then. The guys moved up east." Epy chipped in.

They spent the rest of the morning hours researching on the place until Nella decided they should pay a visit.

Nana suggested they be careful, may be the place was still alive.
