Seokwoo walked in the cafeteria just to be welcomed with a long line of angry people who needed their morning coffee. He sighed as he stood at the back, looking down at his phone. A new notification informed him that Chani had texted him. Chani is seokwoo's friend for years and housemate.
-Hyung!!!
-Jaeyoon hyung says he can't find his white pants
-Where did you put them?
Seokwoo sighed as he started typing aggressively,
+since y'all are colour blind or just idiots his white pants are now black!
+I kept telling you not to put white clothes with dark ones
There was a moment of no replies until another text came in,
-we thought you check before turning on the washing machine! What should he do now?
+Idk, ask Youngbin hyung -_-
-fair enough
+why aren't you in class right now?!
+did you eat the breakfast I made for you?! Don't forget to get your lunchbox! Remind Hwiyoung too. I packed both of you one.
-jeez! I'll be leaving for class in thirty minutes mom :P
Seokwoo sighed, "this kid" he thought to himself as he looked up to see how much closer he has got to the counter. Fortunately, only three people were left in front of him. He happily imagined finally getting his hands on that warm cup of coffee. Just the thought of not having an americano is the morning could give him a heart attack. He finally reached the counter, ordered his usual americano. It didn't take them long to make his order ready, and soon enough, he was heading out, on his way to the publishing company. Seokwoo is a short story writer who has been publishing short stories with the pen name of Rowoon monthly which received so many good reviews and led him into fame.
The company he worked at was just a few blocks away from the coffee shop, which was a blessing since he was in no rush. He walked casually towards the building enjoying Seoul's beautiful morning. Another text came in, but this time it was from his editor wrecking his mood.
-Author Kim, I have just resigned from my post as your editor. Please don't call/text/mail me ever again! I already asked another editor to replace me, please don't go hard on her. She can work for you until you find another one.
Seokwoo stared at the text in shock, that swine never really worked. He sighed, thinking about another editor who he had no idea about their work made him nervous. He walked into the building taking the elevator to the 5th floor, which was where his desk was located alongside with others including editors, marketing team, designing team, and other units. He greeted the others with a loud Hello before taking his coat off and sitting down on his chair.
The deadline for him to hand in the story of this month was this weekend, and he was already far behind schedule, now with the editor situation he had to work ten times faster. Once he adjusted his headphones and played a piece of decent music to write with, he started typing out his story, not paying attention to the others in the room. It was his habit of writing until his fingers gave up on him or his phone remind him that his working hour has finished, and he has to go back home.
But this time he kept looking up every 5 minutes to look at the editor's desk still empty. It was stressing him out, wasn't the new editor willing to show up? It was now near 5 pm already, and the editor was still nowhere in sight. He sighed as he printed out the first 19 pages of the story he wrote, leaving it on the editor's desk. He took a post-it and slapped it on the first page. He wrote a huge 'to be edited!' on it with a red pen, he took his coat and briefcase fidgeting with the strap.

The next morning he walked in the office greeting the others loudly, he looked down at his desk to find the printed version on it with the same post-it on it, but another note was written in it with a light blue pen. He leaned in to read it,
Done! ^-^
Seokwoo checked all the papers. It was done perfectly. There was no mistake left in the text that swine could never do this well in one month. He has never seen an edit as satisfactory as this one in his whole life, but the amount of time this editing process took made him even more stunned. How did she do it this faultlessly in one night? He shrugged, the job was done, and that was all that mattered. He still really wanted to meet this mysterious editor, more like Cinderella of editors. He started typing the rest of the story yet every now and then checked the empty desk in front of his hoping the editor would show up.
He watched the desk like an eagle, waiting for the mysterious woman to show. He even asked around during the lunch hours, hoping that anyone might know her. He was starting to believe the was the job of a few elves who sneak in at night and are kind enough to edit his work. He was too distracted that what he wrote contained more errors than usual. To his disappointment, she didn't show up again. It was 5 p.m and his final minutes of working hours. He printed out the new pages of the story, which was about 27 pages and placed it on her desk neatly. He attached a post-it on it writing down a note but this time in black.
'To be edited! Also thank you for finishing the first 19 pages that fast. I've never seen a perfect edit, but I guess I did today :)'
He left the note and the story on the desk, grabbing his coat. He glanced one last time at the empty desk before stepping inside the elevator in hopes of seeing the mystery girl.
However, luck wasn't on his side this time.
