Chapter35: The Island

Jason's POV:

When the gates opened and we sailed into the Unknown,I almost had a heart atack.

The old part of the Ocean was just.....Beautiful. Thanks to the pollution in the world the ocean always looked diffent,but here NO I can't even explain it,the ocean reflected the colour from the blue sky but it was a diffrent shade of blue it wasn't polluted,even the SKY LOOKED DIFFRENT! But what got our attention was the storm about a hundred miles away.

"The Island." Percy said as he pointed to the storm.

'How do you know?" Piper asked.

'To enter the Island we have to go through the storm."

"I honestly thought we would have to battle some sea monsters to get their,but this seems easy." Leo said.Percy's eyes widened and he yelled. "GET READY I SENSE SOMETHING UNDER THE BOAT!"

Suddenly the water erupted and rising from the water was the ugliest thing I have ever seen.The monster was like a giant snake but it sprayed acid water from its mouth, it was bue with green scales on it and its teeth were the size of the boat itself.

The creature sprayed the acid water from its mouth before it hit us Percy summoned a wave and the acid hit it instead but the water turned to steam as if it was evaporating.

"I WILL DISTRACT IT WHILE YOU GUYS TRY TO KILL IT!" Percy commanded.

'Aye Aye captain lets go." Leo joked and we all went into action.I thought the monster was going to notice us but it looked like it was intrested in Percy since they both have water abalities so it wanted to see whos better.

"HEY YOU REPTILLIAN GODZILLA COME AND GET IT!" Percy shouted,he jumped into the water and the thing went after him.

"I THINK PERCY SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT WE CAN'T BREATHE UNDERWATER AND HE WANTS US TO DISTRACT IT?!?!?!" Leo yelled.

"I'm probably sure he has a plan."Frank added.

"Or maybe he had a change of plans." Nico pointed to the distance, Percy was on top of the thing,riding it.

But the thing didn't look happy,it jerked just like a horse and sent Percy flying towards the ship.The monster went after him,wanting to spray him.

"SOMEONE NOW!" He warned.

Nico ran and sliced the monsters head-off.The creatures body fell into the water and the head too,but when Nico cut its head off it sprayed a disgusting yellowish liquid on his shirt.

And since no one was hurt we exploded into laughter."Nice fashion choice Nico." Leo said between giggles.

I thought Nico was going to strangle him,but instead he glared at him.After the laughter died out,"On this speed when do you guys think we will reach the Island?" Hazel asked.

"About tommorw afternoon we will be there." Percy said.

"How do you know?"

"I just know,you guys go rest I will take first watch."

"I will stay with you."I suggested.

"Nah its okay,I just want to be alone."

"Whatever suites you."

Annabeth wanted to stay but he shut her off as well,we then left him.

Percy's POV:

I JUST WISH I COULD RIP MYSELF INTO PEICES!!!!! WHAT KIND OF "LEADER" AM I I WENT TO DISTRACT THE STUPID REPTILEZILLA AND I ALMOST HAD NICO KILLED!!!!!!!! IT WAS ONLY THE BEGGING OF THE QUEST AND LOOKED WHAT HAPPENED!

I sat down a kneeled against the wall,i didn't even have time to look at the necklace that was slightly glowing,but I didn't need it now because i knew that the storm leads into the lsand,but I will need it when i search for the Trident.

After about an hour,my eye lids started to get heavy and becasue of the rocking of the boat,I slept.

I was underground in a room that seemed in ruins, their were cracks in the walls.But what got my attention was my dad's statue,in his hands was the most magnifcent Trident I have ever seen, it was larger than the one he has, it was dark blue,but it glowed bright green,in the middle of the trident was the carving of a small seashell the glowed brighter than anything in the room,the source but the weapon radiated power i could feel its force hitting me.I was about to release the Trident from my dads hands but the room shock,and the walls collapsed over me,last thing I heard was the sounds of screams from outside and I am sure it was Annabeth's.

I woke up and found myself looking up at seven worried faces."ITS WAS ABOUT TIME YOU WAKE UP FISH BRAIN." Leo said.

I wanted to kill him for calling me "Fish Brain" but i wasn't in the mood.Annabeth held out her hand and i took it.

Me and Annabeth sat on the edge eating breakfast as the others were practcing sword fightining.My blue pancakes were delicous mostly because Annabeth made them,none of us said a word,i haven't talked to her since yesterday,she was really quiet lately,i missed her.

"So have you had any dreams lately?"

"Nope not really."I lied.

I put my hand around her shoulders and pulled her close,she pulled closer.Her grey eyes were wild with thoughts and excitment her hair shining in the sunlight,I kissed her for a whole minute.When we let go she said."I miss the old you seaweed brain." I had a feeing she was going to say that. "I am very sorry Annabeth I promise i will make it up to you, its just I have been really stressed out lately." she sighed and gave me a kiss on the cheeck."Its okay,I forgive you." We cuddeld,enjoying each others warmth.

For the next couple hours none of us had anything to do.Until the sound of waves crashing and the sound of thunder grew louder.I looked at my necklace it was glowing really bright now.

"Um..Percy what do we do now?"Piper asked.

I looked at the storm,I was going to lead them through it,even if it would cost my life.

"Leo take us is."
