Standing where Yoongi had been moments earlier, stood the god of day and sun, Jung Hoseok. He stretched slightly, his modern styled shirt rising somewhat with the movement, revealing his slightly toned stomach - a smile as bright as the actual sun was shining from his face. He hadn't come alone, as moments later, three other gods appeared beside him.

Hoseok was used to being followed everywhere he went. It was no longer odd to him anymore; in fact, it was something that Hoseok had gotten used to with the change of time. He was almost nostalgic of when he was left to his own devices, when few knew his name. Those days were long gone.

"Come on, the time for missing the old days is over," One of the god's smirked at him, seeing his hesitated glance over at the tree, knowing it was their easiest ticket back onto the lower-realm, back to modern society. Hoseok had gotten used to the contemporary feel of the human world. They lived such carefree lives while Hoseok was trapped in a godly world that he stood out in. In the human world, Hoseok was nobody. Just another person in the crowd, not a god with the power of the sun.

At first, he had loved the attention of being the god of light and sun had created, but soon after people starting separating themselves from him. It had practically happened overnight in Hoseok's eyes. He had millions of friends one day, and only a select few the next. It was something that Hoseok just didn't understand it all, but that was centuries ago, it wasn't worth pondering over now.

"Let's go," Hoseok smiled, looking at one of his dear friends. Those of the friends that stayed meant the world to Hoseok, proving to him that he could still have friends, even if he was now a supreme god. The other two nodded, and the small group of four hurried off the sacred ground, two of the four having no access to be on such land. Hoseok couldn't help but shiver when he felt the remains of a dark god's energy roaming around the trees that surrounded The Ever Tree. Hoseok ignored the feeling, knowing that he shouldn't concern himself about it, as multiple gods were showing up for the celestial. There was more than a big chance that one of the dark gods happened to walk through here to get to the celebration.

It had been a long time since Hoseok had laid his eyes on the temple in Honraoi. Personally, Hoseok had wished the time had been longer. These sorts of celebrations were always awkward and involved a lot of questions from the other supreme gods about why he was 'wasting' his time on the lower-realm. Some of the other gods knew the pleasures of the lower-realm, but none of them wanted to live amongst those who lived there.

The temple was lit up brightly with lights from within the temple. It was clearly beginning to evolve into a more modern-looking location. Aside from that, Hoseok was getting flashbacks to the previous celestial celebrations, how awkward they had been. It had almost been a blessing that some of the supreme gods had been asked not to attend after the last dark god's banishment. Apparently, our safety is more important than the other gods, a belief that Hoseok didn't agree with.

The moment that the first random set of gods saw Hoseok, they bowed slightly before rushing out of sight. Hoseok couldn't hold in a groan, knowing that this would only be the beginning of this behavior until he ran into some of the other supreme gods, some of which Hoseok hopes he doesn't run into.

Luckily for Hoseok, not all of the gods had arrived at the temple yet, as the actual celebration didn't start for two more days, but Hoseok knew they would all filter in like rats. Hoseok just hoped that some of them would be civil and not ruin the celebration. After all the tricks and games that have been played in the past that didn't even well, you'd think that the same people would realize that certain things weren't very smart. Some of the people Hoseok didn't want to talk to were on the edge of banishment. The last thing Hoseok wanted to have happen was banishments. All the supreme gods would have to come together in Ameki, the city for the supreme gods, to decide the god's fate. A majority of those events ended with the god being banished.

Entering the temple was the worst. It was as if everyone was awaiting his arrival, so many gods were roaming around the main hall. Heck, even the kid that annoyed Hoseok to no exception, Jeon Jeong-guk, was chatting with some of the other locally resided gods. As strong as the brat was, he was smart enough to know when he pushed Hoseok to far and knew when to walk away. The kid was one of the better, younger supreme gods. Hoseok could admit that much about the kid, but even Jungkook wasn't really a kid. He was a god, a god who's been alive for over a millennium. Sometimes, Hoseok had to remind himself that he wasn't a twenty-five-year-old human, although he physically was. And he always would be.

"Hoseok-Hyung!" Jungkook ran up to his hyung, feeling much better from earlier, communicating with his fellow gods always seemed to cheer him up. "How has the lower-realm been?" Jungkook asked curiously. He never dared to go down to the lower-realm, not yet anyway. The horrifying rumors scared the young supreme god out of it. Jungkook couldn't believe the stories anymore. The fact that Hoseok could live there and be fine made all the rumors truthfulness disappear.

"Fine, always something new to discover," Hoseok mentioned, as his next plan was to travel to the US to witness an event in one of the most well-known states, California, after the celestial ceremony. If Hoseok could stand to be around the brat for the celebration, he might offer to take him along. Hoseok glanced back at the young god who was subtlely looking over at the romance god's, or the ones that have arrived so far. Maybe not this trip.

Hoseok could have laughed at the delighted look on the brats' face when he glanced around the main hall. Hoseok had grown bored of such events, but Jungkook probably had another millennium before it seemed boring to him as well. They all got bored at some point.

It had happened to Hoseok. It could very easily happen to the youngster.

Hoseok hoped that it potentially would never happen, as he loved to see the bright shine in the younger boy's eyes. He missed that sparkle in his own.

"I love these events," Jungkook muttered, looking at everyone with loving eyes. He turned his eyes towards Hoseok, a questioning look on his face. "Don't you too, Hoseok-hyung?" Jungkook asked his elder, generally curious to know if his elder enjoyed such events. With his lack of involvement in recent politic's the answer seemed to be no. But that wasn't what Hoseok said.

"I quite enjoy them!" Hoseok said with a bright smile that could fool anybody, which was probably why it fooled Jungkook. Hoseok was a smart god. Over time he learned to mask his real emotions, hide it all behind a mask of happiness. Hoseok wished he could be anywhere, but where he was now.

"Good, good," Jungkook mumbled, looking around the room for someone else that he could greet. As much as he loved his elder, he could tell that Hoseok wasn't in the mood to be talking with him, and Jungkook respected his elder enough to leave him be. "Oh, look! Yunhyeong!" Jungkook said, locking eyes onto the unsuspecting god who was quietly chatting with another god. Jungkook rushed towards the god, leaving Hoseok with his three followers.

He turned his attention towards the three, seeing that they were looking around amazed. He could all but tell that they wanted to run off and do their own thing, who was Hoseok to stop them. "Go on, go have fun," Hoseok offered with a smile. Two of the three didn't hesitate to take the offer, and seconds later, only one remained. Kim Byeongkwan was the only one who continued to stand beside Hoseok, looking at him with hesitant eyes. During their time on the lower-realm, Byeongkwan had discovered Hoseok's little secret, how he'd pretend to be overly-happy. He had everyone under his spell, and he used to have Byeongkwan as well, not anymore.

"Are you sure you're going to be okay alone?" Byeongkwan asked Hoseok, seeing the gears in Hoseok's head turn rapidly as Hoseok began to panic. Hoseok had honestly thought they'd all walk away upon given the chance. Three years of being stuck with Hoseok, you'd think that they'd be happy to have a moment away from him and his crap.

Hoseok just nodded though, not wanting to show that he was panicking. Hoseok was honestly just wanting a couple of moments alone, without the prying eyes of other gods. A mere second that Hoseok could let his guard down and truly be himself, if only for a couple of minutes.

Was that really too much to ask for?
