Seokjin, like many of the other gods, was inside the spacious suite provided to him, preparing for the feast in less than an hour. A precious smile crossed over Seokjin's face as he glanced at himself in the floor-length mirror. Rarely did Seokjin find himself admiring himself, his life as a supreme god rarely allowed little moments to do insignificant things like the admiration of his own physical appearance. It had been a while since he stopped to even glance at how he looked, but even Seokjin would admit, his slaves were very skilled at preparing him to look his best.
His hair was styled so that a slight wave went from the place his hair parts. His hair was currently blond, contrasting with the light brown eyebrows nicely. If he wasn't himself, he'd totally ask himself out. With a hint of narcissistic tendencies, it wouldn't shock any of the gods that knew him. Seokjin was known to think he was the most handsome god out there, thinking he was better than the gods of beauty, romance, and lust. In many ways, Seokjin was more attractive, but not all forms of attractiveness were solely physical. Seokjin had a heart, empathy, a trustworthy god, not all of the romance gods could say the same.
It was true, power changes everything.
The outfit Seokjin had been put into made him feel like the king of silk. Everything Seokjin was wearing was made of some of the finest silk he's ever touched, even his undergarments were customly made to fix Seokjin. He'd admit, this kind of treatment was really nice, but he had grown used to being pampered and probed to look a certain way. The overall council wanted us to look higher than the other gods, make us appear more powerful. They just wanted to establish that it was indeed the supreme gods who ruled.
A vast majority of the supreme gods liked it that way, too. They loved feeling superior than everyone else. Seokjin was not like those gods, he wanted them all to be seen as close to equal as possible, but Seokjin was not ignorant. A power barrier would always exist, but treating them like they were royalty wasn't the answer. Seokjin maybe a pink princess, but that didn't make him a prince, or princess, in any form.
A handful of slaves stood in a circle formation in the corner of his suite, waiting patiently for Seokjin's verbal approval of his appearance. Seokjin wasn't going to verbally reply to them. Unlike the other gods, they were slaves. Nothing but humans who were given slightly extended lives to serve the gods. They all had been on the brink of death when the gods stepped in and gave them purpose. They may resent the gods for their new life, thinking that the gods took them from everything that they love simply to do it. This was not the case, but they didn't know that, and they never asked.
Seokjin walked to the other side of his suite, ignoring the slight whispers that the slaves shared between themselves. Seokjin could have eased dropped and focused on the words being muttered, but he didn't care enough about the gossip fo the slaves to listen. Quite frankly, Seokjin thought the lives the slaves lived was rather uninteresting, they sometimes wondered if they would be released to continue life, but when they were released, all the years they missed on the lower realm would catch up to them within mere seconds, and they would instantly perish.
It would be unfortunate if anyone told them of their fate because it wouldn't end well if the news spread.
Suddenly, Seokjin remembered that he planned to share a dinner with Hoseok, and knew he would have someone to seek out during dinner. Seokjin didn't particularly care if the dinner was during the celestial or not, but he stilled planned of them having that dinner. Seokjin was more than interested in the lower realm, curious to know what Hoseok had learned and seen while down there. The things one the stupid smart device didn't serve the lower realm any justice. Seeing stuff on a phone isn't the same as seeing it in real life. Seokjin wanted to hear everything about Hoseok's adventures in the lower realm.
