I Just Wanted to Play Videogames...

*Naofumi's POV*

(Y-y/n)! W-what are you doing here?

The (H/C) giggled as she crossed her arms shooting the shocked boy a "really?" look.

"It's a library Fumi, what do you think I'm doing here?"

A light blush dusted Noafumi's cheeks as embarrassment replaced shock upon realizing the stupidity of his question. Noticing his suddenly shy demeanor, (Y/n) smiled shaking her head before placing her hands back at her sides, changing to a much more relaxed posture.

"Sorry Naofumi...t-to tell you the truth...I saw you enter the library and decided to follow you and say h-hi"

Now it was time for (Y/n) to blush as Naofumi took in what she had said leading him to stare at the girl with a playful smirk as his green eyes observed her tomato red cheeks.

"Oh really? still like to follow me around just like when we were kids, little Hoshi*?"

Hoshi, (Y/n) didn't think her face could've gone darker but just like old times, Naofumi proved her wrong once again. 

"I-I told you not to call me that a-anymore!" 

(Y/n)'s stuttering only spurred on Naofumi's taunting as he leaned down a bit getting closer to her face, 

"Hmmm? what was that Hoshi?"

Huffing (Y/n) backed away muttering under her breath,

"N-Nothing"

Chuckling Naofumi stood up looking at the small girl in front him before rubbing the back of his neck smiling sheepishly,

"Sorry (Y/n) it's just been awhile since I've seen you and I couldn't help but tease ya bit"

Taking a deep breath (Y/) smiled back stuffing her hands in her pockets, 

"No no it's ok you just caught me off guard is all!"

Looking down (y/n) noticed a book laying on the floor between them, the young girl leaned down picking it up, inspecting the paper back curiously.

"What kind of book were you reading?"

(E/c) glanced up at the boy in front of her before looking down and opening up the front page of the book. Naofumi shrugged as he shuffled over to his friends side looking over her shoulder to get a better look at the book. 

"I don't know, it looked interesting so I just picked it up"

Humming (Y/n) nodded as she flipped to the first page and began reading quietly so both of them could hear. Both of them listened closely, intrigued by the words that were scrawled across the paper so elegantly. (Y/n) spoke of the heroes and the weapons they wielded, a sword, a spear, a bow, or a shield. Before she could continue Naofumi comment stopped the girl.

"Uh, I'm pretty sure a shield is more like armor than a weapon..."

The small girl shook her head at the males comment,

"Not true a shield can be just as much as a weapon as it can a shield! I mean have you seen that American movie The Avengers? There is guy in blue tights who beats up his enemies with just a shield!"

Naofumi looked down at his friend confused

"What in the world are you talking about?"

Sighing the (h/c) just shook her head disappointed as she flipped through the pages, each one showing the different characters and explaining who they are and what they do. Naofumi kept making comments about the characters  as he read each page, dissecting its contents in his head before finally asking the question that was on both of the young adults minds. 

"Is there a heroine in this story at all?"

(Y/n) tapped her chin thinking as she read the pages, 

"It think its all four of the heroes...who...what the?" 

Naofumi's eyes widen in shock as he stares at the number of blank pages completely untouched before him. As if by magic the pages began to rapidly turn by themselves as a brighten golden glow illuminated the features of the college students who stood staring in awe. Naofumi grabbed the left side of the book as (y/n) (e/c) looked at him a bit scared.

"Fumi, w-what's...?"

Then just like that (Y/n) was cut off again as the golden light engulfed both her and Naofumi. The last thought that went through the girls mind as she stared in the grey orbs of her child hood friends.

I just wanted to play some videogames...

Hey guys! Sorry for the super short chapter and for not uploading in forever but I am back now finally! It took a while but I manage to not only find some inspiration but I also found some time to put my focus back on developing my story for your guy's enjoyment. I do have a few classes that will keep me busy but I will try to upload whenever I can for ya. Thank you for all the votes and positive feedback.
