after the barrios women and ricky finished their hugs, ricky and leighton went to talk to his parents. liliana stopped by briefly to ask how they were doing before leaving with nayeli. the teens finished up their family greetings and leaving as well.

the cast had plans to eat at a denny's and they went just to feel what it was like as a theatre geek. the teenagers gushed and brought up their favorite parts of the night. everyone still buzzing with adrenaline.

"ricky what was your favorite part of tonight?" seb asked from across the table. leighton wiped her mouth as she looked at her boyfriend. "honestly, singing with this one. if it wasn't for her i would've lost it." he said placing his arm around her shoulder. everyone 'awing' at the two. big placing his hand over his heart as a joke. "my ship is no longer wrecked. it's sailing peacefully."

leighton blushed as she and ricky playfully nudged big red and continued to eat their food. gina sat across from her two best friends and newest friend, big red, and talked about everything they needed to cover before she was to leave; if she was leaving. they were all upset that she could possibly leave them again. their bond was strong and they knew it would never loosen.

the night grew later as everyone started to leave little by little. the entire day would be something everyone will talk about for the rest of their high school careers.

"you nicknamed my daughter after the lochness monster!?" ricky and leighton shouted as they sat on her bed in their pajamas, watching the twilight series at 3:30 in the morning. it was now a few days after the musical ended and they wanted to have one of their sleepovers again.

being grateful their parents trusted them enough to still have them even if they are a couple now. "i can't believe that was actually in the movie." leighton said laughing at the line they just said. ricky agreed while shoving a handful of m&ms in his mouth.

"honestly, this entire movie series has things in it where it makes you question if it was real or not." he said with a chocolate covered mouth. leighton fake gagged at the mess on his face and snatched the bag from him.

"what are your plans for christmas, love?" leighton questioned doing the same as ricky and shoving the candy in her mouth. ricky's mom and her boyfriend were still in town, just in a hotel and they were supposed to stay for the holidays.

"dad said he wanted to have it at our house in the morning and maybe with my mom's family in the evening. what about you?" he responded and turned to give her the attention. "first christmas with just us girls.. maybe here and then to my tia's. my grandparents are supposed to be coming in. that means more gifts!" she laughed.

speaking of gifts, she planned to surprise ricky with a song on the guitar. she had been practicing more and more. now she felt it was a good time to add music to one of her songs she wrote to him.

the piano was her ideal instrument, but ricky loved watching leighton play the guitar. she had another idea to get him a new skateboard they saw while out on a date one evening. maybe a few other things.

ricky on the other hand wanted to take her on a road trip to the mountains. leighton had always wanted to go walk the mountains, even in the snow and cold. his other gift was a ring with the initial 'r' in cursive. it wasn't a promise ring or anything. just a ring so she had something from him on her.
