I step onto the roof just as the bell goes for classes to start.

I'm a high tier now, I'm allowed to skip a class or two.

I look out over the school grounds, then hear my name being called. It's Seraphina. She's just behind me, and clearly wants me to come and sit with her.

I take my place next to her, and she sighs. "I shouldn't really be up here, you know...since I'm techically a cripple. Luckily rooftop guy is in lessons, or he would've chased me away by now."

I raise my eyebrow. "I didn't know you were a cripple"

"Yeah...I used to be an 8, but some people ambushed me and injected me with something." She looks down at her hands. "I haven't been able to activate my ability ever since."

She looks so miserable that I want to help her. "My ability level is pretty high, I could try something."

"How?"

"Has the drug not exited your bloodstream yet? Because if that's the problem I might be able to help. It will hurt...and it might not work...but I can try!"

"Really?" She looks at me with hopeful eyes.

"Sure! I'm happy to help."

"Then do what you need to"

In response I ask her to hand me her jacket, then once I have it I roll up a bit of the sleeve and tell her to bite down on it. When she questions why, I reply simply. "It's going to hurt" She nods grimly and lays down on the floor.

I activate my ability.

Ok, I remember once in New Bostin we were taught that there is a part of the brain that controls your ability. If I am correct, the drug should be collected around that area, leaving Seraphina powerless. Also, if it was collected around that particular part of the brain, it would explain why it hasn't left her bloodstream yet.

If I can freeze that drug, I could control it, and I could make it travel to her finger, where I could have it come out as a minor wound. The only problem is getting it our of the brain without causing her brain damage. That would not be good. So I'll make a piece of ice that I can send through her finger as a test.

I create a microscopic piece of ice, but I ensured that it was unmeltable. (A/N don't ask me how, idk so don't question me)

"Bite down now, this might not hurt much but it will soon." She nods and I can see her jaw clamp down on the jacket as she squeezes my hand. I send, the piece of ice through he finger, then quickly freeze the wound so she doesn't lose any blood. I look at her, but she has her eyes closed tight as she bites down harder. I send the ice through her blood and eventually into her brain.

((A/N) This bit contains some bloody(ish) descriptions so I just thought I'd put a warning if ur not ok with that...it's very minor tho just wanted 2 put a warning just in case)

I close my eyes, and suddenly all I can see is blood and some sort of grey matter. No way...I can see where the ice is!?! Well, this makes my job a lot easier.

I navigate the ice through the brain, making sure to only follow the path of the blood and to not bump into anything that looks like brain.

This is actually pretty cool! It's like I'm the pilot in one of those programs where they shrink themselves down to see what's inside of people's blood! Wait...those are kids programs...and why is that the first thing I think of in this situation!?

I travel with the blood for one or two minutes before I see a big blob of a gooey blue substance attached to a sickly looking piece of the brain. This must be it, I think as I stop the ice, letting the blood flow past.
