Arthur poured the hot water he had boiling into two tea cups. Mixing the tea bags around in the cups to assist them with steeping. Lana sat up on the couch, having woken up from her nap.

"How long was I asleep?" She asked. Arthur sat next to her and sat the cups down on the coffee table in front of them. "Not long. Only about an hour." She looked up at him, she could hear the worry in his voice.

"Arthur, what's wrong?" She stared at his face, searching for something. Anything.

He shook his head. "Nothing's wrong, I promise." He lifted her cup up to her. "Here, drink some tea." Lana took the cup into her hands but kept her eyes on Arthur. She knew that something was bothering him, but she also knew that he wasn't going to tell her. She took a sip of tea and then put the cup back down on the table. "Let's go for a walk. On the beach."

Arthur looked up at Lana and nodded. He sat his cup down and moved the coffee table out of the way. He knelt down and put Lana's shoes on her feet for her. She stood up and held onto Arthur's arm as they walked outside, onto the beach. "Oh look, the sun is setting." Lana said smiling. Arthur smiled. "This reminds me of when I proposed to you." Lana's smile widened. "It does. It was so beautiful and I wasn't expecting it at all. But when you pulled the ring out and got down on your knee I knew what......Arthur? Arthur are you okay?"

Arthur had turned away from Lana. He didn't want her to see his face. "Lana, I, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have put you through this. Any of this." He put his face into his hands. "You don't deserve any of what you've gone through." Lana frowned and moved around him to face him. "Arthur what are you talking about?" "Lana, if you hadn't ever met me then you would be.."

"Lonely! Miserable! Arthur I don't know what you're trying to say but, my life would be nothing without you! So don't you dare say anything else." She placed her hands on her hips and stood up to Arthur as if she was bigger than he was. Arthur uncovered his face and looked down at Lana. Her nose was wrinkled from her frown and her mouth was in the cutest pout. He forgot everything that he was feeling from before as he was taken over by adoration for his fiancee. He smiled and pulled her into him. "I love you Lana."

She searched his face. Wondering if he was still feeling down. But she didn't see any further traces of the feeling. He looked genuinely happy. "I love you too Arthur." She stood up on her tip toes and kissed him. "Don't ever talk like that again, okay. I mean it. Arthur you ARE my life."

They stared into each others eyes and their lips met again.

After a few moments, their lips parted and Lana reached up to touch Arthur's face. "Just promise me that you will never leave me Arthur. Or our baby."

He placed his hand on top of hers and nodded. "I promise."

Lana smiled. "Let's get inside. It's getting dark. And I'm getting hungry." She laughed a little. Arthur smiled. "Okay. What do you want to eat tonight?" "Hmmm. Let's have that yummy crab dip that you like so much." "That does sound good."

They walked back into the lighthouse and Lana sat near the kitchen counter while Arthur prepared dinner.

From the hallway closet, Mera peered out of the cracked door as she seethed with hatred for Lana. She wanted nothing more than to see her die. At her own hands preferably. She needed to create some type of chaos. Something that would take Arthur's focus off of Lana just for a moment. That was all that she needed. Just a moment. And she would take Lana's life.
