Another Romanoff [Original]

Everyone teleports back to the compound. Everyone seems okay except Ana, laying on the ground motionless.

" Ana, no. Ana stay with me," Nat sobbed.

Everyone looked in horror at the younger Romanoff. She still had some color but it was fading fast. She was bleeding everywhere and she looked so lifeless. Bruce had called over some doctors and left with her.

" Natasha, what happened?" Steve asked.

" We went to get the stone, but there was a price. Someone had to die to get it. I was going to sacrifice myself but she saved me last minute. Before either one of us could try to stop her she threw herself off the cliff," Nat sobbed.

Everyone waited silently until Bruce came back. The look on his face wasn't good.

" She okay, for now. I don't know if she'll stay that way. She has severe damage in a lot of places in her body. There's no telling what kind of brain damage she may have sustained. We just have to let her heal," Bruce explained.

" We have to continue without her. Finish the mission. It's what she would want," Nat replied. 

      Ana looked around confused. She had never been to a place like where she was. It was like a white room but there were no windows or doors.

" Of course there aren't windows or doors stupid. This is your mind," Angel said.

" Why am I here?" Ana asked.

" You're dying. Soon everything will go. And you'll leave your friends alone with Thanos,"

" No, we killed Thanos,"

" Maybe in your timeline. But when you mess with time, it tends to fight back,"

" No, I have to get back. They need me,"

" In the condition, you're in? A rat would be more useful,"

" No, I have to get back. Thanos will kill them all,"

" Let them die. Besides, I don't feel like fighting,"

" I think we both know that if I die you do too. We both know you don't want to die,"

" You do make a point. Fine, we'll do it your way. But how do you think you're going to get out of here?"

" With you. Unfortunately, that means we have to be on each other's side. We can't fight anymore,"

" Please, I think we'd be better off dead,"

" Come on, Angel! We're not getting out of here until we work together. I don't know about you but I'd like to get out of here,"

" Why? So I can be suppressed again? So you can go back to being the better person? I don't know if you noticed but I'm always trapped here! Why should I care if you die or not?"

" We both know I'm not better. Just like you aren't the worst. I created you as a little kid to get away from the things I've done but it's time for us to both embrace who we are. Share the same mind. It's time you get a chance to be free,"

Angel looked at her shocked. She had been waiting so many years to be free. 

" Fine. let's get out of here. But I'm just letting you know now I don't work the same way as your goody two shoes," Angel said.

" I don't expect you to," Ana replied. 

      Ana woke up trapped. She didn't know what happened but she was stuck under debris and water was pouring in.
