Idalia's POV

~~~
My mind is foggy when I roll over. When I peek my eyes open I expect to see a white wall with glass French doors and sheer flowery curtains swaying in the sunshine, but what sits in front of me is a dark wall with a bathroom door sitting wide open. Panic surges through me for a moment before I remember that I'm in Draven's room.
Oh what Papà would say if he ever found out.
I roll back over to face the couch but the blanket and pillow from last night are gone and it looks like he never slept there to begin with. I push myself up against the headboard taking in the large room. Just like the rest of the house there's no personal touches, nothing to make the place feel like a home.
I gently climb from under the covers making sure my robe covers my legs. I can't believe I completely forgot I was only wearing Maxen's shirt last night. I tentatively open one of the doors and peak my head out, happily surprised when I see no one in the hall. I rush to my room as quietly as possible and close the door behind me.
A long, hot shower is exactly what I need after these last few days. I take my time under the scalding spray letting it simply fall over me without moving.
When I'm done in the shower I put on one of my favorite summer dresses. It was a cream floor length dress with tiny wildflowers and lace paneling at my ribs. With tiny straps leading into a V in the middle of my chest, this was one of the few dresses I had that showed a little more skin. It took me a lot of pleading for Papà to allow me to keep it.
I dry my hair before heading for my bedroom door. My tummy was growling and I wanted to find Draven to see if I could make him something to eat as a thank you for last night.
I let out a yelp and jump back when I see a woman's face as soon as I open the door.
"You startled me," I giggle with a hand over my heart.
"My apologies ma'am, the Don would like to speak with you," she says glancing down at the floor.
"Oh perfect I would like to see him too," I gasp, glad she had come for me.
The lady turns without a word and leads me to him. We go down two flights of stairs and head for the back of the house before she stops at a large wooden door. She rasps on the door three times and the slides it open enough for me to walk in.
I bound in happily, excited to see Draven. His head is ducked as he glares at paperwork but his eyes soften when he sees me skipping toward him.
I give him a big smile and plop into his open arms.
"Well hello little one, how did you sleep?"
I sigh contentedly, laying my head on his shoulder.
"Good, once I came to your room."
"Hmmm good," he sighs against my hair.
We sit in silence for a few minutes but when he scoots in to start on his paperwork again I push us back.
"Wait wait, can I make you breakfast?"
Draven looks down at me with his eyebrows furrowed, "if you're hungry we have maids that can make you food."
I sit up straight and wrap my arms around his neck so I don't accidentally fall from his lap, "no I want to make you breakfast!"
He leans in and presses his lips to my temple, I can feel his smile.
"Okay little one why don't you head down and get started, I'll come down in a minute and we can make breakfast together."
