Chapter 4

Nya POV ~ 

When we got to the temple, we went towards the computer to track Zane or Alex but we couldn't get any signal. Until I remembered...

"Jay do you remember what Hope was wearing today" I questioned

"uhhh depends, why?"

"do you remember that necklace we got Hope for her 10th birthday and how we put a tracker inside of it? Do you know if she was wearing it?"

"oh my gosh your right and she was wearing it!! Kai, put in the system" Kai then quickly put it in the system until a red dot appeared on the screen.

It was Hope!!!

Everyone in the room gasp as Kai and Cole put down the coordinates of where they were. Me and Jay went into a hug as we were filled with happiness. 

We soon went onto the bounty, started it up, and went to the location

Later~ 

We threw the roped over the bounty and slid down them until we were near the ground and jumped off. We were somewhere in middle of a forest with trees all around. The two story building was made out of old brick with vines and dirt all over it. We stood in front of 2 tall dark brown doors until Cole used his super strength/Earth (idk what's it called)and broke the doors down soon followed with all of us running in and throwing our hoods on.

When we all went in, we stopped in our tracks. We couldn't see anything. I was about to say something until I heard someone...

"MOM"

My eyes soon adjusted to the dark and I could make out who called me and it was-

"JACOB" I yelled

I quickly ran over to him and tried to hug him but the only thing separating us were rusty bars. I looked around to see all the kids huddled up together in fear. All of a sudden the lights flickered on and on top of the cage was Zane.

"Zane? what happened to you!?" Lloyd questioned as the team were all in a fighting position.

"There is no Zane, I am the Overlord and I came to destroy you and the knew elemental masters" Zane- I mean the overlord says in a deep raspy voice. I soon grew worried. I looked down at Jacob who struggles to hold onto me through the bars with a scared yet confused expression. I kissed him on the forehead and backed away slowly towards the team.

"Set our kids free Zane!! This isn't you!" Kai yelled with anger but also trying to get through his friend- or at least if he's even still there to hear.

"I can't let them go. You ninja and your kids are the reason I haven't taken over Ninjago. If I were to get rid of you all, there would be no problem ruling Ninjago and that's what I plan to do" The overlord states evilly as his eyes turn red.

The first to use their powers was Kai only of course of his short temper. I mean we all want our kids back and safe and with that is gonna be a lot of explanation but we don't exactly have a plan. We were all being worried parents instead of ninja and came in without a plan- some ninja we are. 

The overlord just kept dodging Kai's fire balls which made Kai even madder and made him yell insensitive things to him. The kids were all watching scared for their lives. Some were crying, some were gasping, I could even hear my son hyperventilating. My heart breaks whenever he has a panic attack and it hurts me even more than I can't go to him right now and hold him in my arms. 

Soon before we know it, were all using our powers trying to attack the overlord but it doesn't do anything to him. It also doesn't help that the ninjdroid he hacked happens to actually be metal WITH ice powers. We don't wanna hurt him because beneath the overlord is our friend and we just want him back safely. 

The overlord jumps down from the cage and becomes eye level for us. We all got in fight position before the overlord speaking.

"I'll be back soon, watch your back ninja" It's the last thing he says before his evil red eyes disappear and change back to icy blue. His eyes instantly shuts and falls to the ground. The team and I all look at each other confused before Lloyd and Cole run over to our friend and help him up.

Meanwhile; me, Jay, and Kai run over to the cage. Kai uses his fire to heat the rusty bars enough for him to bend and get inside. We all ran to our children while the others went to find theirs (who were helping Zane onto the bounty). I fell to my knees and hugged both of my children who were in tears. Jay came after me and hugged all three of us. Jay kept whispering to us saying it's all okay now and shushing the children who were now crying in relief but I know Jay all too well and know that he's also shaken up from all this.

And we thought at first that this was the scary part, hahah nope! We still have to defeat the overlord but most importantly, tell the children our biggest secret... That they are the 'next generation'.

DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNN

So I don't really know what happened to me that past few months with this book, I guess I got tired of it but now I'm back!!!
