Chapter 9

Today he was leaving. Today was the day he would leave for 3 entire months. Yea. I was mad at him but the mate bond still has its affects and I couldn't help but miss him.

Stop blaming everything on the bond. You miss him anyway. Wolfette declared.

I am not blaming everything on the bond. I scoffed.

Can you believe her? Pfft. She's blaming everything on the bond.

Ignoring her, I focused my attention back to my mate who had just finished packing. He had his phone up to his ear and his voice was serious.

"Yea. I'm leaving later today. Mhm. Around 6 or 7." He paused for a brief moment his lips went into a straight thin line across his face as he grimaced. He shifted his weight from one foot to the other and ran his fingers through his hair in a frustrated manner. "Well, Alright. Bye."

He hung up. His eyes collected on me. I didn't look my best seeing as it was 10 in the morning and I'm usually not up this early.

My hair was up in a messy bun. Literally messy. I probably still had some sleep in my eye. I turned around to go to the bathroom his gaze was making me feel uncomfortable. I quickly washed my face, brushed my teeth and fixed my hair a bit before walking downstairs to be greeted by delicious smelling pancakes.

As I walked down, I noticed everyone in the pack was up and about and when I walked in they all turned and looked at me. I blushed at all the attention I was getting and walked to the table where a plate was set in front of me. I politely thanked the chef before digging in. I could still feel the gaze of a few members. I moaned in delight as I ate the pancakes and saw the 3rd in command, Blake eyeing me with a suppressed smile.

"What are you looking at?" I asked and he simply shrugged.

"You're a sloppy eater." he commented.

"So what? I like to enjoy food and I get a little messy in the process." I snapped. I always got an attitude when it came to food.

"It's not lady like."

"You're not lady like." I grumbled getting annoyed with him. He chuckled.

"We're gonna be great friends." he was still laughing a little.

"I bet." I replied sarcastically, taking another sloppy bite of my pancakes and slurping on purpose to annoy him.

"And during our friendship I'll teach you manners." he cringed as I chewed with my mouth open. Connor walked in and gave me a look of disapproval. I ignored him and finished up my food. Feeling satisfied, I rubbed my belly and smirked at Blake.

"You're gonna get fat."

"If you can't change it. You have to embrace it." I rubbed my belly once more a let out a small burp. "Excuse me." I said in a tiny voice after that. My face heated up and Blake laughed.

I frowned. "I command you to stop laughing." He continued. Aren't I suppose to have some kind of authority of him? I'm suppose to be his Luna.

"You aren't Luna yet, your highness." He stood up and grabbed our plates and placed them in the sink.

"Well we're friends right?" I asked.

"I wouldn't say t-" I gave him my best puppy eyes. "Well in a w-" My lip started to quiver. He sighed. "Of course we're friends."
