Katya heard music reverberating from the house before she even knocked on the door.

"Well I guess this is it," Danica declared, tilting her head up to peer at the large house where the after party was held.

"What are we waiting for? Let's go!" Rocky said excitedly before latching on to Katya's wrist and dragging her to the front door. Everyone else reluctantly trailed behind.

After the football game, the cheerleaders headed back to the locker rooms to change out of their uniforms and into nicer clothes for the after party. Katya had packed an extra pair of shorts and a nice shirt, but Jazz had firmly disagreed with her choice of attire, and demanded that Katya wear a jean skirt of hers instead.

Although it was a bit tighter than she would have liked, Katya wore it and, once they were all ready, they piled into Rocky's huge van and headed over to Adam Bentley's house.

Now that they were at Adam's house, Katya realized that she'd much rather be at home, curled up in her pajamas, and watching a good movie with her friends than at a party with a bunch of drunken teenagers.

Unfortunately Katya didn't have much choice at this point, so, with a small scowl, she pushed open the door and entered the house while Rocky and Jazz flanked her sides.

Adam's house was three stories tall, and the floor seemed to vibrate from the music that played. Many people stood in small groups chatting near the living room, while a large number of football players congregated in the kitchen.

The kitchen was messy with half-filled abandoned bottles of alcohol, and empty bags of chips. Many of the football players still wore their jerseys, and had red solo cups clutched in their hands. Katya only needed to hear their raucous laughter to know that they were probably doing something stupid.

"Right. Well, I think I'm going to go over there," Danica suddenly announced before migrating toward the backyard, her gaze set on a small group of teenagers that were smoking.

Before Katya could protest, Jazz was linking arms with Tasha and heading down to the basement where most of the music emitted from. "We'll be downstairs!"

"Wait―"

Before Katya even finished her sentence, Jazz and Tasha disappeared toward the basement; Katya noticed that quite a few football players straining to get a better look at them leaving.

"I think I see Gwen over there," Maisy piped up, before heading back to the front of the house.

Katya whipped around to face her friend. "Maisy!"

Maisy didn't turn around since she was already out of hearing distance. Gritting her teeth in frustration, Katya turned to face the rest of her cheer team, which only consisted of Rocky and Shelly at that point.

Sensing Katya's worry, Rocky shot her a reassuring smile. "Don't worry. They're big girls. They can take care of themselves."

Katya immediately bristled. "I know they can take care of themselves, Rocky. But―"

"Then everything is fine!" Rocky stressed while looping an arm around Katya's shoulders.

"You just need to chill, Kitty Kat," she added while steering Katya toward the cups of alcohol that littered the kitchen counter.

"Rocky, wait. Katya might have a point," Shelly pointed out, while trailing behind the two of them fretfully.

Rocky merely shrugged Shelly's concern away, and sat Katya down on a free barstool. "Allow me."
