As the week went on, I got to know the guys better. Ray had the same sense of humor as me, Michael could get annoyed really quickly, Gavin was still as clumsy as ever, Geoff seemed tired all the time, Jack was really friendly, and Ryan said some stuff every now and again that just sounded creepy as hell. I also met Michaels girlfriend Lindsay, and her friend Barbara. Lindsay was very excitable and adorable, and Barbara made loads of jokes. I had at least one lesson with each of them, and I usually sat near or next to one of them. I ended up next to Jack most of the time, as I had most of my lessons with him. However, this started to cause rumors, so I made sure the rest of the time, like at lunch, I sat next to one the other guys. When it got to Friday morning, all conversation turned to the movie we were going to see. The plan had been to meet at Gavins, go get some lunch, then go see the movie. But now, Gavin said the tickets had sold out for the showing we were going to go to. So we were now going to the later showing, and get dinner afterward. We were still going to go to Gavins at the same time, and play video games. I offered to bring my Xbox controlers, and everyone agreed. Then the bell rang and we had to go to lesson. Glancing at my timetable I hurried down the corridor. I had got used to the school in the week I had been there. I knew my way round the vast majority of it, and I had compared timetables with the guys so I knew which lessons I was in with who.

This was one lesson I didn't have with Jack. Double Geography. The teacher had thin lips and long pointy nose. He spoke in a hig pitched voice and smelt strongly of tea. His name was Mr Speak. I glanced around the room, looking for Michael. I spotted him leaning against the wall. His beanie was lopsided and he had a strange look on his face. He looked kind of cute, and I felt a sudden urge to hug him. I stopped myself. He had a girlfriend, and he was one of my best friends. Thinking about it, all of the guys were cute in their own ways. Mr Speakers voice cut through my thoughts. He was pointing to a chair and telling me to sit in it. I sat down, Michael sat behind me, and and guy called Derek who was in my Music class sat down next to me. I glanced back at Michael. He had straightened his beanie, and his expression was back to normal. We grinned at each other, then went back to the work. At some point in the lesson, when Sir went out of the classroom to yell at soke other kid, Michael kicked the back of my chair lightly. I turned round to him, and he whispered "What did you get for question four?" I glanced at the worksheet.

"I haven't done it yet. Why?"

Michael shrugged. "Just wondering." Sir came back into the classroom, and I turned around before he could yell at me for talking.

At break, Mr Speak had to talk to Michael. I looked back at him as I left the classroom. He mouthed 'Go on.' at me and gestured for me to go. I nodded and headed to were we usually hung out, behind the art block. There was a low wall that was sat on, and it was shaded from the sun. From there, we had a great view of the sports field, and no one bothered us. When I got there, only Ryan was there. I sat down next to him. "Hey, how you doing?" He smiled at me. I thought to myself how much of my friendship with the guys was smiling or grinning. The thought amused me.

"Great. You?"

"Alright. Art was more boring than usual."

"I like art, but I know that feeling. It can be so dull." I pulled my sketch book out of my backpack and opened it to show him some of the sketches. Some pieces of paper fell out, and Ryan jumped down and grabbed them. He turned them over to look at them. I froze when I noticed what drawing he was looking at. It was a drawing of the guys that I had been working on. They were all in superhero poses, and I was really happy with it. It was unfinished and Ryan was the only one I had colored in. I looked at Ryan, trying to judge what his reaction to the drawing was. He looked up at me and grinned. "Why didn't you tell us about this?"

"Is it that bad?"

"It's amazing! You can tell who everyone is, and thats the main thing."

"Thanks." Ryan opened his mouth to say something else, but Gavin bounced round the corner, Michael and Geoff in tow. Ryan handed me the drawings and said something in answer to Gavin's latest stupid question. I sat back and watched the conversation descend into confusion before Jack, Ray, Lindsay and Barbara arrived. We then just sat and chatted until the bell rang again.
