On Saturday, my alarm pulled me from sleep. I rolled out of bed and grabbed some jeans and a black t-shirt that said 'Warning, rock music may cause creativity and individuality'. I got in the shower and wahsed my hair. After I was dressed and my hair was dried, I went over to my dressing table to look for my contact lenses. I couldn't see them, which completely defeted the point. I felt to tired to look for them, so I just took my glasses from their case and slipped them on. I looked at myself in the mirror. My long brown hair was looking very stylishly messy today, and my glasses made my eyes look bigger. For once, I felt happy with my apperance, and decided to keep my glasses on. I grabbed my hone from my bedside table, and checked it. I had a text from Ray. It said 'Hey, I was wondering if you wanted to walk to Gavs with me?'.

I quickly texted back. 'Yeah, what time you coming?'

'In an hour?'

'Yeah cool see you then.'

"Okay, bye.' I picked up my bag and shoved some tissues, lip gloss and the controllers in it, and went down stairs. Jake was standing at the counter with a plate of toast. I walked past him and grabbed a piece. He sighed and passed me a glass of orange juice.I grinned at him and drank it. I then went into the living room, saying hi to Max as I went. I turned on the television and sat down on the sofa. I watched the TV until Ray knocked on the door. I grabbed my boots and opened the door. "Hey!"

"Hello! How you doing?"

"Great. You?"

"Fantastic." I put my shoes on and pulled on my coat, shouting bye to Jake. He appeared in the kitchen door and grinned at me in a sarcastic way. I rolled my eyes and shut the front door. We walked down the road in silence until we got to Gavin's road. I wasn't paying attention to where I was walking and I bumped into him. There was a brief momant of awkward apologies and then he stepped away from me. I blushed and turned to walk down the road.
"Wrong road." Ray grabbed my shoulders and steered me in the right direction.
"Oh my god. I have no idea were I'm going. You must think I'm so stupid."
"Nah, I think it's kind of cute." My heart sped up. Ray thought I was cute? I liked him a lot, and he was adorable, but I didn't think he like me back. All I could do was stammer."What?"
It was Rays turn to get embarrassed. "I said I thought it was cute. I think you're cute." We stood staring at each other for a second, both blushing like mad, waiting for the other to speak. "I think you're cute to." I said it before I could stop and think. It was the truth, but it sounded weird out loud. Ray was taller than me by a few inches, and older by a few months and I, Nerys-Arwen Hall, just called him cute. I felt myself blushing harder. "Thanks." Ray grinned at me. He slipped his hand into mine. "So shall we go?" We started walking and I felt the overwhelming need to ask him something.
"So are we dating now?"
"Do you want to?"
"Yeah. I can live with that."
