Elsa's POV

I decided to go out into the garden to clear my head. As I walked along the path, I heard someone behind me. I turned around, expecting to see a maid or servant, possibly even Jack. But who I saw surprised me even more.

He looked just like Jack, except he had black hair and silver/gold eyes. He stopped walking when I stopped walking.

"Elsa?" He asked hesitantly.

"Yes?" I replied. His face broke out into a grin, but it was sort of a creepy grin. It didn't look right on him.

"I'm so happy you're ok!" He exclaimed.

"Uh... I'm sorry, do I know you?" I asked.

"You do 't remember me?"

"I'm afraid not. I don't have any memories of the last week or so."

"How far back do you remember?"

"Standing on my balcony."

"Well, you do know me. We're... well, I don't want to say officially but... we sort of... this is really weird to say. I mean, you just woke up." I thought I knew what he was going to say, and it sent an odd thrill through me.

"It's ok. Maybe it will help me remember."

"Doubtful." He chuckled quietly. Then he shuffled his feet.

"You and me were in love." He said. I closed my eyes, trying to remember.

"Do you remember?" He asked.

"No, I don't." I said.

"That's ok. I'm Pitch. Pitch... Black. We met when you went out into the village. You almost fell into the water, but I caught you. I was your guardian." He said. Guardian. My vision darkened and I was pulled into another memory.

"I need to get you to the rest of the guardians."

"I have a bunch of guardians?"

"No, you are a guardian. So am I."

"Elsa! Are you ok?" Pitch asked. I was on the ground, and he was crouched next to me. He helped me to my feet.

"Yeah, sorry about that." I said.

"What happened?"

"One of my memories came back when you said Guardian." He instantly looked worried.

"What memory?"

"Someone said I needed to go to the rest of the guardians, then I asked if I had a bunch of guardians, and then they said I was a guardian and that they were too."

"Do you remember who said it?" I searched the memory. I saw a hazy image. Being in the library. Someone was standing in front of me... the boy with white hair.

"A boy who looks just like you and the other one, except with white hair." Pitch blinked.

"'The other one?'"

"Yeah. Jack Frost. We found him buried in the snow outside of the gates."

"So he lived..."

"What?"

"He's a killer. A criminal. He was trying to kill you and Anna, but I thought we had killed him! He must have survived and made his way here, where you subdued him with your powers."

"He didn't seem evil..."

"That was his plan. He must be hanged."

"What?"

"Jack Frost must be tried and hanged for treason."
