The sun began to peak through the curtains in your bedroom, you sat up in your bed and patted your hand around the floor by your bed for your phone. Still waking up, you widen your eyes so you could see better and looked out of the window that was on the same wall as your bed. The streets of Manhattan, both a great and terrible place to be depending on the time of day. You dragged yourself out of your room and into the kitchen. Your Grandmother, Denise wasn't sitting in her usual armchair watching some old game show. You assumed she was still asleep, maybe she just went to bed late last night?

You ate (Favourite/Breakfast) on the sofa and watched some TV seeing as your grandmother wasn't using it and found yourself enjoying some of the shows. Soon it was time to go to school so you got ready, grabbed your things and left for the bus.

When you arrived at school with Peter and Ned in tow, you see the usual bustle of the morning around the school and enter the front doors. You had a few minutes until lessons started so you all headed to your lockers to talk for while you waited. A girl with long blonde hair, wearing a lot of makeup and thin a hairband resting on top of her head walks up to you and the rest of the group, all of you face her.

"Hey you guys! I'm having a super cool party at mine tonight. You all have to be there! Okay? I better see you there," She said in a bubbly tone "I'll text you my address. Buh-Bye!" and she left to see other students before you could even say hi.

"Who was that?" you said looking at Peter and Ned.

"Katrina: super popular, super cool, super chaotic," Ned said simply

"Yeah, I guess this is the first party she's hosted since you came here," Peter wondered aloud "It can get pretty crazy there, we've only been once last year and it was hectic."

"It could be fun! Let's go." you said grinning.

"Okay but if it gets too overwhelming don't say we didn't warn you." Ned said grimly.

You all share a small laugh at his comment as you all walk to your first class of the day. As soon as the class begun you decided: you couldn't be bothered. As a result, you lightly place your head on Peter's shoulder and fell asleep.

"Peter? Is (Y/N) asleep there?" The teacher asked him

"No she's just looking at my work, I'm helping her." He bluffed.

"With her eyes closed..?" She said,

"She's a very talented listener?" Peter continued bluffing.

The teacher clearly couldn't be bothered either as she turned away and continued teaching with Ned quietly laughing at the situation. Peter woke you up before the lesson ended and you all went to the next lesson, parting ways with Ned because he was in another class. A thought occurred to you that you don't know all that much about your family here, or who they were. You wanted to ask your Grandmother but something seemed up. You decided that night that you would check it out.

At lunch, while sitting around the table you and Peter arranged for him to come and pick you up and then take you to the party then you wouldn't have the trouble of finding each other once you got there.

Once school had ended for the day you got home from the bus and went home to the apartment. The door clicked behind you and your Grandmother was still in her room. You made her some dinner and a drink and woke her so she could eat it.

"Are you alright Grandmother?" you asked, worried.

"Don't you worry, dear." she said in a quiet tone "I'll be fine."

You slowly nodded and left the room, gently closing the door you said

"I've got a bad feeling about this," in a hushed tone.
