Light bled through the curtains in your room and caused you to slowly wake up, as you sat up you noticed Peter asleep on a chair near you. You checked the time, 10:34. You were both late for school. Startled, you jolted out of bed and woke Peter.

You told him to ring his Aunt because she would be worried sick as he wouldn't have come back after the party. Whilst he was on the phone you went to the kitchen to make breakfast, you made some for Peter and your grandmother too. It was strange how your grandmother was spending increasingly more time in bed so you thought to look into it later.

You both decided that by the time you would both be ready for school the time would be around lunch time so there wasn't really any point in going. Seeing as Halloween was less than a week away, you decided to go shopping for outfits instead. Peter texted Ned to inform him of the situation and you both got ready to leave.

"Do you have any idea what you want to go as for Halloween, Y/N?" Peter asked you as you walked to the shops.

"Not really, I suppose I'll just go with the flow.. unless- wait what if we both went as little ghosts with shades? I've seen them loads online!" You wondered out loud.

"Oh! That could be cool!"

So now decided on a costume you headed to a nearby store and bought two sheets and some shades. It was really cheap which was handy because you were both broke teens. It was nearing lunch so you and Peter went to a nearby café for dinner.

After filling both of your stomachs, you and Peter parted ways so he could go see his Aunt and probably get into trouble. You kissed him on the cheek and wished him good luck. With the remaining money you had you bought some Halloween decorations.

Finally back home, you started putting up the decorations you bought. Starting with some bunting that alternated orange and purple and read 'Happy Halloween' in black text. Next was two fuzzy spider and zombie plushies which you placed on small tables either side of the door. You also placed some small bats on the ceiling using a step ladder so you could reach and put a bowl next to one of the plushies so you could put sweets in it. The final thing you did was carve a pumpkin, you bought two, one was for the window in the living room and the other was for your grandmother's room, who wasn't leaving her room much recently so you wanted to put a little bit of Halloween in there.

You carved the first pumpkin to look like Spider-Man, (of course) then carefully placed it in the living room window and lit a candle you put inside. The second one was just a classic pumpkin and you also placed this one in the window but in your grandmother's room.

"Grandmother?" You said turning to her, "I've put a Jack-O-Lantern in your room and are you hungry?"

"I am a little hungry" she said.

"Would you like anything in particular?"

"Hmm.. You choose."

"Alright, will you be getting up today?" You asked.

"I'm.. not sure."

"Okay, don't worry about it." You said as you left and went to make something for her. You decided to make her a sandwich that you gave her and then spent the rest of the night doing some homework.

You got off the sofa you had been sitting on to do your homework and went to your bed, it had become a habit to text Peter before going to bed so that was what you did. You enjoyed a back and forth for 15 minutes before sleep took you.
