Cliche Love

I squealed like a little kid on Christmas morning. Six Flags was awesome! Connor and I rode a bunch of roller coasters. (A/N sorry guys I've never been to Six Flags)

After we rode a particular rollercoaster, Connor needed to sit down. I laughed at his expression.

"Oh, come on! Is a little rollercoaster going to bring you down?" I asked.

He shrugged. "In my defense, that one was long- and rollercoaster-y."

I laughed again. "Rollercoaster-y? Seriously, that's not a word!" I teased him.

After a few minutes we started walking again. "Con, I'm hungry!" I whined.

"Stop being such a whiny baby," he mocked. He bent down. "Fine, hop up."

I jumped up on his back and he gave me a piggyback ride to the nearest food stand.

"Two funnel cakes and two slushies," he ordered. We sat down with our food at a nearby picnic table. I immediately shoved a bit of funnel cake in my mouth.

Connor chuckled. "Hungry, are we?" He asked. I nodded with a face full of funnel cake. He started eating his funnel cake as well, and for a while, we sat in comfortable silence.

"What we're you and Sam discussing this morning?" I asked quietly.

He tensed up."It's nothing you need to be concerned about," he muttered.

Now the atmosphere changed and the silence that followed was awkward. "Do you want to ride another rollercoaster?" I asked.

He shrugged. "Sure."

I hesitantly grabbed Connor's hand waiting for his response. He tightened his grip and wrapped his fingers around mine. He gave me a smile that said, 'Don't worry about it.'

I pulled him on to the next rollercoaster, pushing the thoughts of him and Sam to the back of my head.

The sun started to set and we were about to leave.

"Wait," said Connor. "Let's ride the Ferris wheel, okay?"

(A/N I don't know if there's a Ferris wheel at Six Flags just go with it)

We took our cotton candy up to the Ferris wheel and waited in line. Finally, we got loaded in and the ride started.

As we reached the top the air got chilly. I rubbed my arms to keep warm and Connor noticed. He scooted in closer and put his arms around me.

"Well this is romantic," he remarked.

Realization hit me. "You cliche little romantic. You dragged me up here so you could redo one of the most cliche romantic moments of all time?"

He shrugged, a cheeky smile on his face. "Well at least the cars didn't stop yet."

Suddenly the ride jerked to a stop. "The ride should be fixed soon. Stay calm. Maintenance is coming," said a voice from below.

I glared at Connor. "You got your cliche love, happy now?"

He shook his head, all serious all of a sudden.

"I won't be happy until..." He started to say.

"Until what?" I whispered.

He leaned in closer to me and kissed me lightly on the lips. It was soft and longer than our usual friendship pecks on the cheek.

He pulled back. "Until I kissed you."

The car lurched forward and the ride started. Cliche or not, I feel like our little moment is going to cause some big drama.
