Warnings:mental unstability, doubt, mention of abusive character,

Catras POV:

Caring this much might actually hurt you.

Catra had trouble picking between red flannel or leather jacket, because on one hand, flannel was casual, and it showed that Catra didn't care, even if she did. But, it might be too boring. On the other hand, it might be too attention-grabbing.

Or, it might help me.

Catra settled on both, because why make a decision when you can just not.

See! This is what i'm talking about! Seriously, you going to now believe that, "True love triumphs!" because of one girl? Don't you remember Adora, or Double Trouble? Or even Shadow Weaver?

But she's not Adora! Or Double Trouble! Or Shadow Weaver! She's Glimmer! Shes... different than them.

Catra, why do this to yourself, it wont work. Especially with Shadow Weaver in the picture.

Catra cringed at the mention of Shadow Weaver.

Whatever, no one is going to ruin today. Not Adora. Not Double Trouble. And definitely not you.

But what about you? You never said you wouldn't ruin it.

Catra left the voice with no answer, but in exchange had a doubt drilled into her mind.

Glimmer's POV:

Maybe inviting Frosta over wasn't the best idea. But who else could she invite, it's not like Bow or Adora would care. And it was good to have some company.

"So, I think that you should wear something, eye-catching and dramatic. You gotta impress your date anyways!" Frosta's voice was muffled since she was digging around in Glimmer's closet, not to mention making a mess at the same time.

"She's not my date! How many times do I have to tell you!" Glimmer hid her blushing face in a pillow, even though she knew Frosta wouldn't notice.

"Oooh, how about, this!" She dramatically revealed a red sunday dress she hadn't worn in a while. And there were reasons why.

"Oh god no! This is supposed to be casual, but cute," Glimmer stood up to pace. "Maybe I should wear something more edgy, and tough. Do I even have any of that stuff. Or maybe I should dress like Adora, she has probably left a jacket here. Wait, that's stupid, why I wear my ex's jacket to a date? Wait no! It's not a date. Yeah, not a date."

"Hey! Glimmer, look!" Frosta had put on the sunday dress and had also found some plastic jewelry from the closet.

"Pfft, Ha!" Glimmer held back her laughter. Suddenly, her phone rang.

"Oh! Let me get this,"

"Can I watch TV?"

"Yeah, sure," Glimmer replied, walking out the door

"Yay!"

Glimmer walked out of her bed room, and answered the call.

"Hey dad!" Glimmer said into the phone

"What's up, how are you?" Glimmer ignored the fact that she was his only daughter.

"Not bad, not bad, I'm going out today! Frosta's 'helping' me pick out an outfit,"

"Oh! is it a date?" Her dad asked excitedly.

"No. Maybe. Okay, yes it is," Glimmer gave in.

"Aww, I'm so proud my baby girls all grown up!" Her father gushed through the phone.

"Daaaaaad, I'm already grown up!" Glimmer insinuated the first half of her sentence.

"I know, but you will always be my baby,"

"Yeah, hey dad, i need advice."

"Yeah pumpkin?"

"I'm not sure how i feel. Catra is so much different than Adora. what if I'm still into her, should i go back to her? And how can i stop feeling empty, can Catra help me?"

"She's not Adora. She never will be. You shouldn't be replacing the hole in your heart left by Adora  with Catra. You have to accept that there will always be a hole, an empty feeling, but you're going to have to accept it. There's always going to be what-ifs looking back on you and Adora's relationship, but you have to move on, and maybe, Catra can help you. And I can't tell you exactly what to do, because it's your life, not mine."

"Thanks dad. I'm not sure what I would do without you."

"Well you'd be dad joke-less"

"Oh god I can't wait until you stop making those jokes" Glimmer groaned

"I never will, infact, why was the skeleton sad?"

"Nope nope nope, I'm leaving. Bye!"

"They were feeling bonely!"

"I love you, bye!" Glimmer said quickly, trying to escape the wrath of the dad jokes.

"Bye pumpkin, love you."

Glimmer hung up, still cringing from the joke, and reentered the room.

"Glimmer!" Frosta spun around and faced Glimmer, "I got the perfect outfit!"

"Which one is it?"

"Its on the bed, its definitely better than the dress." Frosta promised.

Glimmer carefully made her way to the bed, concerned about her well-being. She really didn't to die because of a pile of clothes. When she approached the bed, she saw a pink fade to purple crop top and skeleton shorts.

Wow, how ironic.

"A flower crown?"

"You gotta stand out!"

Glimmer tried on the clothes, including the flower crown.

"How do I look?" Her question was answered with a thumbs-up from Frosta.

Glimmer glanced at her phone, "Shi- Uh shoot! Gotta go!"

"Good luck on your date!"

"It's not a date!"

"Yes it is!"
