"It's you." Joshua muttered.

Six gulped. So, that's why his name was familiar.

"Heh. Last time we saw each other, you had your gun pointed at my head." Joshua chuckled.

Six spoke up. "You told me to pull the trigger."

Joshua looked at Six with his icy blues.

"You said.." Six thought back to that day.

--

"Craig, on your six." Six spoke through the comm.

"Got it." Boone responded and took down a legionnaire.

It had been like this for hours.

Six would alert Boone of any stray legionnaires and he would take them down.

"How's it looking at the Dam?" Boone asked.

"Looks like Legion forces are cornered in Boulder City. Legate Graham's army," Six read off reports. "Detonators have been hit."

"I wish I could see the Legate's face." Boone chuckled.

Six chuckled along with him.

"NCR says any troops not stationed at the dam say to go back to camp." Boone turns off his comm.

"I'll see you back at McCarran." Six says goodbye to Boone and heads out.

It takes a bit, but she finally reaches a gas station. It's halfway from Camp McCarran where she's stationed.

"Hey! Anybody here?" Six looks around.

Silence.

Six sets her rifle down, along with her 1st Recon Beret and sets up for the night.

The next day brought a surprise.

She hears a voice outside, and wakes up.

Six grabs her rifle and goes outside.

It's the Legate.

"Legate." Six growls.

"Please just pull the trigger," Joshua begs. "It's better than what Caesar will do."

Six lowers her rifle. She pities the Legate.

"God be willing, I'll be able to breathe tomorrow." Joshua prays.

Six is at a loss for words.

Why isn't she putting a bullet through his chest? Why does she feel bad about what the NCR has done to him?

"I'm sorry." Six mutters out.

The Legate furrows his brow, "For what?"

"For what the NCR did to you." Six can't believe the words coming out of her mouth, yet she's saying them and meaning them.

The Legate snorts.

A man of his sins should never be given forgiveness, yet this sniper is giving it to him.

"Do you know what I've done?" Joshua is appalled.

Six nods.

"Of course."

The silence is unbearable to Six.

"I'm supposed to be on the "good side", yet the NCR have done things worse than the Legion together."

Joshua looks down. He's thinking about what Caesar will do to him.

"I wish you my condolences, Legate. Maybe we will see each other again." Six picks up her rifle and walks on.
--

"Well, if you were curious, this is what he did to me." Joshua opens his arms.

"Yeah, it spread quickly," Six looks away. "I want to let you know that he's dead, you know?"

Joshua becomes silent, and glances at Six.

"How?"
