i was in the library, it was my duty day as library prefect.
accompanying me was my friend, we were cutting newspapers articles and gossiping about boys and couples like busybody girl i am,
when you walked in.
i held my breath hypnotised by you again, for the nth times.
you looked at our direction and i looked away,
my friend smiled at you and finally, you walked past.
i looked up back and smiled crookedly at my friend, and she said nothing. probably didn't even notice my sudden silence.
then i opened my mouth, and said,
"i like his eyes."
my friend looked up from her newspaper article and rose her eyebrow at me.
"who again?" she askes.
"that guy that just walked past."
she rose her brow higher at me. then she nodded.
"i think so."
we fell into silence again. i glanced at the direction you walked to earlier. no sign of you but the fact that you were there comforted me.
"why did you mention him suddenly?"
i blushed, well, as blush as a honey-coloured skinned girl can blush, of course.
"nothing. just a random thing i noticed. you know me."
"you're lying."
she smirked.
"you like him."
that got me quietened.
do i like you? no, of course not. i didn't even know you (yet).
"he's just a random guy. i don't even know how he sounds like."
"i might like to hear his voice, though."
i added as an afterthought, but it came slow. however, my friend caught it, and she grinned slyly like a cheshire cat.
then, you walked into the same room as ours, and my friend rose her hand, about to call you but i was quicker. i took ahold of her hand and hissed,
"what are you doing?"
"about to call him, of course."
she answered oh so innocently but i was not biting in. i shook my head.
"don't. we don't even know who he is."
she took her hand away from my death grip.
"that was you, not me."
she smug and she called you. you looked up from the laptop you were about to use and looked at us, or maybe just her.
i hissed at her again, this time louder and sharper. my heartbeat quickened with nervousness, maybe?
"chill. he's a friend of mine. his name is."
she told me your name, and i let it rolled on my tongue once, or twice, i could not remember.
you stopped a few feet from our table, giving us two a small, lazy smile.
"hey."
my fried greeted you but you only smiled.
she smiled and glanced at me but your gaze didn't flicker even once to me, and i silently preferred it that way.
"hey, you never told me what club in our school you're in."
my friend looked at you and asked with a fake wondering look.
you answered her question, but i didn't listened what was your answer.
because your voice got me caught in daze.
