Chapter 26 - Jade's wedding

Angie's POV:

It's weird to wakeup and realize that I'm going to Jade's wedding as a guest and she is not marrying to German, but Nicholas. I don't know how it happened, but I'm glad it happened.

I know I might sound too forgiving, but it has been a long time when the cheating and everything happened and I forgave Nicholas because he wasn't the one making me lie after all... And he's a nice guy anyway... He just made a stupid mistake just like I did when I lied to German about what I really was. So I'm glad he found happiness.

And Jade? Well... I don't know what to say about her, honestly. I think she's a wonderful woman too in her own ways and it's good that Nicholas can deal with her being sassy, or being annoying. Love can be blind and deaf in the case.

- Hey, beautiful! - shouted German from downstairs - Are you ready?

- In a minute! - I shouted back as I finished with my make-up and then I went downstairs - I'm here!

German looked at me and froze.

- Angie... - he muttered.

- W-What? Do I look bad? - I asked him.

- No! You look... You look wonderful! - he smiled and when I was in front of him he kissed me softly on the lips - And you will be even more beautiful when it will be on our wedding...

- We'll see - I giggled while blushing slightly.

----- TIME SKIP -----

We were at the place where the wedding was about to start and we met Nicholas right at the door way.

- Hey! I'm glad you both are here! - he said, truly happily.

- I'm glad you finally found happiness - I said then I added quietly - And not with Priscilla...

- Yeah, I know - he laughed - She was just using me for her own goals and stuff... But Jade is different... She loves me for who I am and she doesn't want to use me...

- Well... I don't know about that... But I'm glad you're happy - I smiled awkwardly.

Then Matias appeared.

- Ah! Angie! - he screamed - Come with me!

- What? Where??

- To Jade, of course!

- Ah, o-okay! - I mumbled as Matias already pulled me away from the others to the room where his sister was getting ready - Wow, Jade! You look beautiful!

- Thank you, Angie! - she said happily - But I'm so nervous!

- Why??

- I'm leaving... - mumbled Mati as he sneaked out of the room.

- Why are you nervous? - I asked Jade meanwhile.

I've never seen her nervous... And I mean truly nervous and not annoyed, or pissed off.

- Because I don't know if Nicholas still wants the wedding, or not... - she muttered then smiled awkwardly - I know... this might sound really weird... and probably unbelieveable, but I really love him and I want to be the best wife he can ever have...

- It would be weird... But it's okay to be weird... You fell in love with him... It's perfectly normal that you want to be perfect to him, but you're scared... - I said and smiled - I'm scared too...

- You too?

- Yes... Since my wedding with German is also near I'm a bit scared as well that he might change his mind...

- But I won't... - I heard a deep male voice behind me and then I felt two arms around my waist. It was German - And I'm sure Nicholas won't change his mind either... And you know why?

- Why...? - asked Jade.

- Because he looked determined to take you as his wife just a minute ago.

- Really?

- Yes! So don't worry... Just go out and say yes!

This made me smile.

- Thank you, German... - Jade smiled the way I've never seen before. A very kind and happy smile it was... Not the ironic, or evil smile we've got use to.

----- TIME SKIP -----

And around an hour later the wedding has started. Nicholas was standing at the altar and I could see what he saw Jade he took a deep breath and began to smile in relief. I think he was scared that she'll back off, but none of the backed off at the end.

It's weird because around 2 years ago I thought I'll be standing there with him and German would marry with someone else.... But I thought wrong and I'm glad that I was wrong because Nicholas might seem even happier now with Jade than he was with me.

- What are you thinking now? - questioned German when we were already after wedding at the party. It seems like I've been deep in thoughts for a while now.

- I'm thinking about our wedding... - I replied, still daydreaming - I hope you'll be staring at me the same way as Nicholas stared Jade at the beginning - I added with a grin.

- No, I won't stare at you as he stared her... Because I'll be staring even more... And you know why?

- Hm? Why?

- Because you'll be even more beautiful than Jade - he smiled and kissed my cheek.

- I heard you! - Jade jumped between us and we began to laugh when she added - But you might be right though... We'll see since I wasn't there when you bought your dress!

- But you'll be there with me to help me get ready! - I smiled.

- Yes! Wait... Am I?

- Yes! We're friends now, aren't we?

- Yes, we are.

- Then you're coming to our wedding too! - I said - And I mean both of you! - I added louder for Nicholas to hear too.

He looked at us confused for a moment then he smiled and nodded.

- That's right! - he said.

Now it's time for me to get married... I'm so excited already!
