Abilities are real!

I started to walk down the ally to see what was going on and where I am. I saw some people in weird looking clothes walking by, so I go a little closer to the people walking. "Where am I?", I said as I looked at the scenery of the big buildings and all the neon lights on the buildings. I look to my left to see a McDonald's sign, which the sign looked similar to the McDonald's that I was living near. I walk down to the familiar sign and when I got there, something was different about it. It looked old and abandoned, with boards on the windows and it had mold growing on it. "Damn, McDonald's didn't make it", I look at the boarded windows and saw my reflection. I go up to the window to get a closer look at myself, and when I saw myself, I had to admit that I looked pretty hot. I have long purple hair that looks like it was really taken care of. I'm kind of jealous because I had the Albert Einstein hairstyle, which is pretty funny looking. I also had weird looking tattoos going up my arm. I also have a white taint top shirt with blue jeans and black tennis shoes. I saw that my eyes had a gold colored hue to them, it kinda looks like they were artificial, well there is only one way to find out if my eyes are real or not. I bring my hand up to my face and poked my eyeball with my finger. "Owowow, jeez I'm an idiot! Of course they're real, cause if they were fake then I wouldn't be able to see anything", I yelled as I look at myself crying from the pain of my eye. I started to wipe my eyes, so it didn't look like I was actually upset cause then it would be embarrassing to explain to someone.
"Hey miss are you okay?", said a woman's voice behind me. Of course I jinxed myself again. I turn around to see who it was behind me and it was a little old lady looking up at me.
"Yeah I'm fine! I was just looking at myself to get ready for the day!", I said to the old lady as she looks around with a confused face and then looked at me with disappointment. I decided to look around as well to see why she looked so concerned. Shoot it's not day time it's night time! "Uhhh, I'm just really tired from my shift, the boss was really hard on me today", I said with some sweat going down my face. She looked at me with her amber colored eyes, she looked at me a bit more and then closed her eyes for a second, she opened them back up and her eye color changed! They turned to an aqua blue color, how did she do that? "Hey how are you able to do that?", I said with even more sweat going down my face.
"I have the ability to see people's past, but I can't see yours. Everything is just blank and dark, it's almost like I'm blind and can't see anything", she said confused.
"Okay, but how are you able to have an ability?", I said to the old lady.
"Oh you don't know? Jeez the kids don't learn anything these days. Well you see a woman ends up finding a way to create magical powers or abilities for the people to use for good and the people who had a criminal record couldn't have any of the powers just in case if they were going to use it for bad. They say that she did it because of an accident that happened to her at a young age", said the old lady.
"Is this woman still here by any chance?", I said to the old lady calmly.
"Yes she's still here and I believe that she is about in her 120s", said the old lady. I guess that this genius is important to this old lady, wait! I can ask her what year it is because it sure don't look like it's June 2nd, 2010.
"Hey do you know what year it is bye any chance?"
"Oh it's March 20th, 2132", said the old lady with a smile.
I stood there and it felt like my other organs were getting absorbed into my stomach and the stomach was it self. "Well it was nice talking to you, but I got to go to a meeting for electro bingo bye!", said the old lady as she walked down the sidewalk. I stand there motionless.
"I think my soul just left me", I said while my skin looking pale.

I went around to the back of the McDonald's to see if there was some way I could go inside and I ended up finding the "Employee's Only" door and it wasn't locked. I gently opened the old rusty door and walked inside. I shut the door behind me, so I could be warm in this rainy weather, but I think that I might be fine because the building is still quite warm which I think is really weird, but it will do. I mean this is way better than living on the bench in a rainy day. I walk around to see if I could find a blanket to sleep in. I walked into the back room and then saw a bright pink color in the back behind all of the cooking utensils. It's my pink fluffy blanket that I had when I was homeless, well I'm still technically homeless, but that doesn't bother me. I go to a old carpet on the floor and found an old backpack that had nothing in it besides a Math textbook. I set down the backpack to rest my head on for a pillow and I lay on the carpet and put the pink blanket to my side just in case I need to be warm. I slowly close my eyes and said to myself, "Why am I in the year 2132, almost 122 years later from when I was around?".

I wake up in the morning to the sound of a vehicles alarm going off and the sound of people walking by the McDonald's I was staying at. I get up off the floor and started to stretch. I went over to the back door to go outside and went in the front of the building and looked at the sun. "It's time to fetch me some breakfast", I said as I walk down the sidewalk. I was walking past all these buildings that looked so uptight and nice. There was this one sign that caught my eye and it was a sign that had an eye on it with some type of symbol that the eye was resting on. The building was in between these tall concrete buildings with a lot of windows, but this place was made out of wood and barely had any windows on it. It's almost like I'm seeing my past again, but I looked at the giant wooden board that said, "Ability Seeing".
I walked inside and the doorbell rang. The building smelt like oak or pine trees, but it wasn't to bad of a smell, I mean at least it doesn't smell like rotten food that doesn't even look like it is rotten.
"Hello, how may I help you?", said a masculine voice at the counter. It was a tall man that was bald and had a long beard, honestly didn't think people at this time would have long beards like this guy, I wonder if it's common?
"I am wondering if you are able to see my ability", I said to this mountain of a man. He looked down at me.
"Okay, the ability reader is over near the jackets and to the right!", said the man with a smile. I turned around and looked at the area he was pointing at, it was empty and I mean like no one was here besides me, this guy, and the ability reader. I guess this place doesn't get many costumers.
"Thank you", I said as I turned around to go to the back of the room where the jackets were. I went to the jackets and took a right turn like what the man said. The way he said led to a room with a lot of stuff that kind of looked like what those hippies that lived near me had in their van. I saw the ability reader at the middle of the floor with a small table and a crystal ball or orb on some type of small cushion or mattress.
"Come on in and take a seat, get yourself comfortable", said the ability reader while looking at the ball.
"Hey miss, uh can you read my ability to see what I have?"
"Why yes I can, you just need to pay five dollars". said the ability reader sounding magical, but then changed her tone and sounded rude.
"Blunt, but okay". I said.
I put my hands in my pockets to see if there was any money. I put my hand in my back pocket to see if I had money. I felt something with a fin, but paper like feeling to it. I yank it out of my pocket and it was 6 dollars!!
"Well do you have it?", said the ability reader.
I guess she's blind. "Yes mam I have it", I said as I place the five dollar bill on the table.
"Okay it's time to see what your ability is", said the ability reader. I sat there in the silence as she waves her hands over the ball humming. Then she stopped her humming, I'm assuming that she found something.
"Well what did you find?"
"I found that you have incredible strength and a cloaking ability with it, you also have a normal skill". I sit there with some thoughts in my head. I have 2 abilities and one skill, is that normal?
"What is my skill and is it normal to have 2 abilities at once?", I said with some sort of excitement, thinking that I was going to be like a main character in a story that was special.
"Well your skill is that your really good with codes", said the ability reader.
"Wow that's pretty cool", I said.
"Oh and it is possible to have 2 to 3 abilities, so don't go off thinking that your some damn super hero because you aren't!". Dang! I think she read my mind and that hurt my feelings.
"Well is that all?", said the ability reader with a blank face.
"Yes that's all and thank you for your time!"
"No problem", said the ability reader as I walk away from her.

I walk back to my home ( the stinky yet rusty McDonald's) and went asleep confused about what happened today. I guess it's my ending to my beginning.
