KAIRI'S POV:
I woke up at 2pm. My head hurt like a bitch and I couldn't remember anything from the night before. I looked around me and noticed Elena wasn't with me. Where was she? I picked up my phone and squinted to try and read any messages. But there were none. Weird, where was everybody?
I heard the door unlock and Robert walked in. He stood at the door of the bed and crossed his arms. He looked more disappointed than angry. But I just didn't know why.
"Morning" I said with a smile, but he just shook his head at me "What happened? Where is everyone?"
"At the hospital" he said. There was no emotion in his voice and he was speaking casually. The hospital? What the hell happened last night?
"Where's Elena?" I asked.
"Fighting for her life" Robert answered. I felt like someone had punched me in the stomach. I fucked up. Real bad. I don't know how, but I did.
"So if you're done with your nap, hurry the fuck up so we can go see her and Mattia, who is also fighting for his life" said Robert, throwing my clothes at me.
"Wait what the fuck happened to Mattia?" I said, I was so confused, but it couldn't be that bad, could it?
"Bro I'll explain in the cab, lets just go already" Robert pleaded.
"Okay okay chill" I said, putting on my shoes.
MATTIA'S POV:
My eyes slowly opened and adapted to the bright lights. I knew I was in the hospital because I could hear the doctors talking. I noticed there was an oxygen mask on my face and closed my eyes. I was in pain. Not just physical pain, but mentally too. I felt a hand on my shoulder but didn't have enough energy to see who it was.
"Doc he's waking up" said the voice. Alejandro. I could recognise his voice anywhere.
"For real?"
"Yo let me see"
I heard Alvaro and Roshaun too. I smiled a little, knowing my boys were here made everything better. I opened my eyes and they all stood above me with beaming smiles. The doctor came and stood next to them with a clipboard.
"Mattia in case you don't remember what exactly happened, you were stabbed at what looks like a party, and you stabbed directly below the lungs, so if it were any higher it could've seriously damaged your lungs" he said. My breathing became heavier with every word he said. It was a mix of anger and fear.
"How's Elena?" I said, making Alejandro and the doctor smile.
"I told you that would be the first thing he says" he said, making the doctor laugh. The doc pointed to the bed next to me and I turned my head. With an oxygen mask on her face aswell, Elena was lying there. Her chest slowly rising and falling, almost too slowly. I smiled and started to sit up so I could see her properly, but as I sat up a piercing pain ripped through my body, causing me to lose my breath and fall back onto my pillow. The doctor rushed to my side with the boys and put his hand on my stomach. I looked down and noticed a bandage wrapped around where I was stabbed.
"Mattia it's crucial that you move as little as possible, it took us a while to stop the bleeding and any sudden movements could start it all again" he said whilst making sure the cut wasn't bleeding again.
"You can keep the mask off for now" he said, so I took the mask off and looked at Elena.
"I just wanna know if she's okay" I groaned. I reached over slowly and held her hand in mine.
"I'd say get a room but they're already ahead of me" said Alvaro, causing everyone to laugh. I smiled too but I kept my eyes on Elena. I stroked her fingers with my thumb, I'd have given my whole life if it meant she'd wake up already.
"We've been running tests on Miss Hill, and they're coming back positive as the poison is making its way out of her system" he said, which made me relieved.
"However" he started, causing my heart to beat a little faster "we're unsure as of when she'll wake up, as it's something we're not able to predict right now"
I frowned and took a deep breath. I guessed there would be some bad news, just not this bad.
"Thank you" I said to the doctor, the boys also thanked him, and he nodded gratefully and he left the room. Roshaun went and sat on Elena's side and Alejandro and Alvaro stayed next to me.
"I just want her to wake up" I whispered, feeling a tear slide down my cheek and into the pillow.
"I know man, we all do" said Ale sadly.
I held her hand tight.
"Like where the fuck is Kairi? This is meant to be his girlfriend, not mine" I said, clearly irritated.
"He's on his way but it don't seem like she's his girlfriend anymore" said Roshaun.
"What?" I said, confused.
"Mattia they're on a break" said Alvaro, reminding me of the past events "this is your chance to get Elena back, it's pretty much now or never, cause Kairi knows he fucked up and he's gonna be trying even harder to get her back".
I nodded taking everything into account. I was definitely getting her back for good this time.
