KAIRI'S POV:
I sat down on the floor and leaned against the door. I looked up and realised what I'd just done. Had I just broke up with Elena? Shit. I stood up and decided I'd go stay with the boys for the night. But before I left I wondered if I should go back in. Couples fight all the time right? I put my hand on the doorknob and was about to walk in. But then something hit me.
Shame.
I'd just made my girl cry, and was pretty sure I'd broken her heart at the same time. I couldn't face her. At least not tonight. I turned to the elevator and made my way to the floor below. I thought about texting her. Maybe I should apologise to her first. I did start the argument by bringing up Mattia. I glanced at myself in the mirror and frowned. I tried to tell myself today was going to be better, but the bags under my eyes said otherwise.
I knocked on the boys door and Alvaro answered, still half asleep.
"Morning bro" he gave me a weak smile with his eyes still shut.
"Morning, could I crash here?" I asked.
He opened his eyes and saw me properly. He must've seen how depressed I looked, cause he gave me a sad smile. He knew we'd had an argument. Alvaro can always tell when you're upset.
"Of course you can" he invited me inside and I looked at the boys. They were all out cold, and I took the sofa bed. I was in a baggy tee and shorts, but I couldn't sleep because I had Elena's watermelon scent all over my t-shirt. All I could think about was her. I looked over at the clock.
6:30pm.
I rolled my eyes and turned over. Alvaro had fallen asleep again, meaning I was the only one still awake. I closed my eyes and tried to drift off. Soon enough, I fell asleep.
I woke up at around 12pm. I looked up at the boys who were all ready to go to the pool.
"Morning bitch" said Robert, throwing a towel at me.
"Morning" I yawned "you guys head down I'll be there soon".
They all nodded and started to leave. I caught Roshaun giving me a nervous look and I flicked him off. He knew Elena was going to ask me about her. I got up slowly and started getting changed. I had no idea what we were doing today and honestly, I wasn't looking too forward to it.
ELENA'S POV:
I was woken up by someone knocking loudly on the door. I forced my eyes open and looked around. I fell asleep on the floor last night after Kai had left. The knocking got louder and I reached up and opened the door.
"Wake up lovebirds, we're going to the p-"
I looked up at Alejandro and Vic who were looking down at me with their mouths agape. Alejandro's excitement quickly died down when he saw the mascara stains on my face and how I was the only one in the room. Vic rushes to my side and pulled me in for a hug, which made me start crying all over again.
"H-he's really gone Vic" I started, but Vic shushed me and hugged me tighter.
"You don't have to say anything Elena, you guys probably had an argument over something silly, I'll stay here with you" she said softly, and gestured at Alejandro to go to the pool. He nodded and quickly left the room.
Vic helped me up and we went to the bed. It was still messy from the last night and there were clothes everywhere.
"Let me get you some water" said Vic. As she went over to the minibar I looked at myself in the mirror. My eyes were red and puffy from crying and my hair was a mess. I felt like shit and Kairi was probably fine. Why did he get so offended when I asked about Alicia? It was almost like he was, no. I started breathing faster and gripped the sheets. Vic noticed and grabbed a brown paper bag and ran over to me. She gave me the bag and I put it over my mouth. She rubbed my back and I tried to get my breath back. My vision had gone blurry and I closed my eyes.
I couldn't leave her cause I was in love.
I was in love.
"You're having a panic attack Elena, just breathe" she said, whilst trying to calm me down. She had a worried look on her face but was trying to stay calm. I got my breath back and slowly removed the bag.
"Do you know what that was about?" she looked at me cautiously.
"Alicia" I said, without even pausing to think.
Vic looked startled. As if she hadn't heard that name in years.
"I forgot all about her" she said. I nodded and realised there was something I had to ask her.
"Vic" I said, taking her hand in mine "I need to ask you a question, but promise me it'll stay between us"
She nodded and put her other hand on mine.
"I promise"
I was ready for the worst.
"Is Kairi still in love with Alicia?" I asked her.
"No" she said immediately. She didn't even hesitate. A wave of relief washed over me.
She gave me a reassuring smile.
"Elena he loves you, Alicia's in the past, and besides she never loved Kairi as much as you do, and plus she lives in England now, she's trash" she said, making me laugh a little.
I hugged her tight "thank you Vic, so much". I was honestly grateful to have a girlfriend like Vic.
"That's what sisters are for" she winked "do you feel like heading down to the pool?"
I knew she'd want to go down to see Alejandro so I agreed so to go down. We both changed into our swimsuits and I washed my face so I looked more alive. I fixed my hair into a high ponytail and applied lip gloss. All better, I guess.
We made our way to the lift and pressed "G". It stopped on the floor below us and Vic sighed.
"Who could that be" she said, rolling her eyes.
The doors opened and there he was. Shirtless with a towel thrown over his shoulder.
"Hey Kai" said Vic quickly, and moved closer to me so Kairi stood on the other side of her. She gave my hand a squeeze and I took a deep breath.
He didn't say anything to Vic, he just gave her an awkward smile and went to stand beside her. We had 8 more floors to go but it honestly felt like 80. All I wanted to do was crawl into a hole and die. I kept my eyes locked on the ground and my lips pressed together. You could honestly cut the tension with a knife.
We finally got to the ground floor and Kairi got out quickly. Vic turned to me and held my hand.
"You're okay babe, just breathe"
I shook my head "he didn't even look at me. He probably hates me by now"
"No Elena, what'd I tell you. He loves you the most, you're both just upset right now, but you'll be back to normal soon enough, okay?" she said as we walked over to the pool.
I heard music playing, and the boys were all enjoying themselves. I forced a smile and took a deep breath.
"Come on, we're in Vegas, you're not spending this trip moping around, we're having fun" she took my hand and we ran over to the pool. Vic instantly cheered me up. She just had this vibrant energy and an infectious smile.
"And if the pool doesn't bring your energy up, we're gonna go out tonight, and it involves dressing up to the nines, which means we can go dress shopping later" she was almost yelling because of how excited she was.
"I can't wait!" I smiled back at her. A girls trip to the mall would take my mind off everything. Maybe I needed it.
I looked over at Kairi. He was laughing with the boys. Right now, I just needed him.
