Chapter 5: Lex

I walked through the halls on my way to the next class. Not wanting to be late, I try being as fast as I can. I can almost hear Lillian screaming at me not to run in the halls. The mere thaught sends shivers running down my spine.

I round a corner quickly and immediatly regret my speed. As I run into the large person standing there. The air get's knocked out of my longes and I fall to the ground. I open my eyes to see the person I ran into had barelly moved. Towering over me stood three strong looking guys with a smug look on their face. They seemed older then me and were very sporty build. But what made me feel uncomfortable and slightly afraid, was the look in their eyes when they realised who I am. It wasn't the normal frightened look, no it was something else. It was filled with amusement. With some sort of hunger.

Soon I was surrounded like I was their pray. I sat up a little straighter not wanting to look weak. It didn't really work. Their creepy smiles only grew wider.

"Well, well... what do we have here... if it isn't Lex Luthor's little sister."

One of the tall Gryffondors spoke and the other laughed a little. He got on his knee with a look like he would go for my neck any second. His face was a lot closer to mine now and he spoke with a little softer tone.

"Look at this... so little.. so vulnerable... just like we were in our first year. Right guys?"

His eyes never left mine and the two Gryffendors behind me silently agreed. The creep continued.

"We were just... minding our own business. Didn't do anything wrong."

His tone was sweet and soft, it was really scary when his tone changed as he contineud.

"Untill big bad Lex Luthor came around and made our lives living hell."

The change of tone was harsh. He grabbed the front of my robes, pulled me up and slammed me into the wall in a fluant painfull movement.

"I think it's time a Luthor knows what that's like."

With one strong arm he held me up against the wall while he punched my stumach hard with the other. I winced at the pain and he let me fall to the ground. He smirked down at me and stepped on my enkel hard. I could feel something krack and reached to grab it, but the other two guys grabs my arms and legs and held me down to the ground. They all laughed at how I despirately tried to get away from them. The one who hit me spoke again with a very, very creepy smile.

"Little helpless Luthor... you are so pethetic, you don't even deserve the Luthor name."

He stood by my head and raised his foot to kick me right in the face. I closed my eyes preparing for the painfull inpact, but it never came.

Instead I heard a cry and a loud thump. I felt the iron grip I was held in dicappear and I heard a few more painfull sounds. Slowly I opened my eyes to see the three Gryffendicks laying on the ground unconcious.

"You are wrong"

I heard a familliar voice say.

"The Luthor name doesn't deserve Lena."

I looked up to see the one and only Kara Danvers standing there. Did she knock these guys out?? She saw me looking at her and was at my side in less then seconds.

"Oh rao Lena!! Are you ok?"

She sounded so concerned it made my insides warm up a little.

"Yeah yeah I'm okay I just- aww"

I tried standing up when I said this but was cut off by the excuciating  pain in my ankle. Kara quickly but softly wrapped her arms around me to keep me from falling.

"You're not okay Lena. Come on I'll take you to the infirmary."

"No! Not the infirmary!"

If I went there more peaple would see I was vulnerable, and that couldn't happen.

Kara looked at me concerned and confused. She looked into my eyes as if trying to read me, so I gave her a pleading look.

"... ok then... no infirmary. But then I am taking you to Alex."

"You mean your sister Alex? The sister that keeps throwing me looks as if she is trying to shoot lasers at me?"

"... yes... that Alex... but she just doesn't know you yet! She won't hurt you, I promise. I won't let her."

The comforting smile she give me made me almost say yes. But I really didn't feel like some more misplaced hatred... but when I was about to say no, she gave me the cutest pout ever. She was like a little puppy made of ice cream and sunshine. And... well... who can say no to ice cream and sunshine?

I softly nodded in defeat and Kara replaced her pout with a victorious smile.

She layed my arm around her shoulder and held my hand so I wouldn't pull it away, and her other arm she placed securely around my waist. Like this we slowly began walking to the West wing. I was happy classes were busy because I really didn't want to be seen like this. Wait. We are supposed to be in class! Kara is skipping class just to help me!!

I stopped walking making Kara look at me worried.

"Are you okay? Were we going to fast? Did I hurt you? Oh rao I hurt you didn't I! I am so sorry Len-"

"No no you didn't do anything wrong!"

She relaxed a little.

"It is just that you can't skip class for me on your first day for me."

She gave me a smile.

"Don't worry about it. I have my ways to skip class."

We began walking again. What did that even mean?

Oh well at the moment I had bigger things to worry about. Like the scary sister to whom we're headed...
