Chapter Eight

I woke up before the other two. As quiet as possible I pryed their hands out of mine and crawled out of the bed. I lightly stepped onto the floor and took a shower and got changed. Once I was out I saw Ryuzaki was sitting in a chair eating candy. I chuckled and walked over to him. "Morning!" I smiled. "Morning." He said back, smiling slightly. Cute! I thought. I sat down on the edge of the bed we all slept on and looked over at Light, who was still sleeping. I crawled over to him and poked his cheek. "Light~." I sang softly. "Wakey wakey sleep head~!" I giggled and poked his cheek again. He mumbled something in his sleep and ended up using me as a teddy bear. "Light! Get up!" I yelled and he bolted up right and I started giggling. "Ok now that your up let me go please." I said and he pouted. "But I don't wanna!" He said and I hit his head lightly. "Release!" I demanded and he slowly let go. "Thank you." I said and hugged him lightly. I heard L clear his throat to get our attention. I looked over at him to see him frowning. "Aw come here." I smiled and walked over to him and hugged him. He hugged back and I grabbed Light's hand. "Group hug!" I giggled and we all hugged. "Hey! Lets take a group picture!" I decided and broke free from the hug and dug through my bag, bringing out my phone. "L stand here and Light stand there." I ordered them and they stood where they had too. I stood in the middle and looked at them. "Smile." I added. I counted to three and took the picture. "There! That's going as my background." I said and put it as my phones background before they could protest. "There." I smiled. "Let's go walk around the town." I said and started for the door. I stopped at looked at the two who just stood in the same spot. "Or you two could hang out here alone." I said and they both looked at each other before following me. I chuckled. To easy. I thought and walked out.

We walked around the small town for hours. I was looking through a small shop, looking at the necklaces and charms. I picked up a small charm necklace with a golden shell on it, hanging from a silver chain. I looked at the price before putting it back up, seeing I didn't have close to enough money.

L's POV

I watched as Keki picked up a necklace, looked at it, and then put it away. I waited for her to walk away before grabbing Light's arms and dragged him over to it. "What?!" He snapped. "Quiet." I said calmly. I picked up the necklace and held it up to him. "Keki was looking at this." I said. "So what?" He huffed. "We should put our money together to buy it for her." I said. Light stood there and looked over at Keki before nodding. "Fine." He sighed and we snuck around Keki and paid for the necklace. We grabbed the small bag and Light stuck it into his pocket just as Keki walked over. "You guys ready to go?" She asked. "I'm ready. Light?" I said and Light nodded. Keki smiled and led us back to our hotel room.

Keki's POV

"Keki close your eyes!" Light told me. "What? Why? Are you two gonna have a quiet fight when I do?!" I asked. L chuckled lightly. "No just close you eyes." He said. "Alright.." I mumbled and sat on the bed, closing my eyes. "No peeking either!" Light added. "Fine fine!" I giggled. I heard them move around and felt something cold on my neck. "Okay. Open!" They both said. I opened my eyes and looked down to see the seashell necklace I was looking at in the shop. My eyes widened and I looked up at the two of them. "You both bought this without fighting?!" I asked. They nodded their heads and I just stared at them in surprised before laughing. "I'm going to the beach again you two if you wanna come." I said to them, ducking into the bathroom.

I splashed up water at Light who splashed more water at me. I giggled and ran over to L who was watching us from our spot. "Come on Ryuzaki! Meet the sun! It's awesome." I smiled. "I've already met the sunlight." He chuckled and I gasped. "But you're so adorably pale!" I laughed, cheeks turning a soft shade of dusty rose(faveorite color). He chuckled and stood up. "Alright I'll swim for a bit." He smiled and I pulled him toward the water. "Hurray!" I smiled. U had forgotten about the shark bit but it still stung if I got it wet with the salty water so I stayed close to the shallow part. We all ran around, splashing each other and having fun before we decided to go back to the hotel.

"Last night here guys."I said sadly. Today was Saterday so we would all need to go back to our homes tomorrow afternoon. "Yep." Light nodded his head. "Then it's settled. We're going out to eat!" I declared and they looked at me. "But we never even talked about going out to eat?" Ryuzaki said. "Oh? You'll both pay for the whole meal! How sweet of you two!" I smiled at them. They stood there, confused and I giggled, grabbing clothes and going into the bathroom to change.

We walked through town, looking for a place to eat. "How about here!" I declared. I looked at Light and Ryuzaki who nodded. "Sounds good." Ryuzaki said. We walked inside and got a table for three. The waiter came over and gave us our menus. "Please take your time sirs and miss." He said politely but winked at me before walking away. I blushed and stuck my nose into the menu. I peeked above my menu to see Ryuzaki and Light glaring at Tai. I giggled and they looked toward me. "Nothing." I smiled. Pretty soon Tai came back and ctook our order, flirted with me a bit and then walked away.

L's POV

I watched in jealousy, I think, as the waiter flirted with Keki. Pretty soon our food came and the waiter once again flirted with Keki before walking away. I shook my head to clear my thoughts and ate my cake. After we were all half way through the waiter asked us if we were enjoying our food. We all said yes and he took his time flirting with Keki who seemed uncomfortable. I was about to say something but Light beat me. "Could you stop flirting with Keki." He asked, almost in a threatening tone. "Why should I? It isn't like she's dating any of you." He replied. "But if you haven't noticed she's getting uncomfortable." I joined in.

Keki's POV

"G-guys don't make such a fuss over me.." I said softly. The three of them looked over at me before fighting again. "So you're saying because she's uncomfortable I can't flirt a little?" Tai hissed. "Well when a lady gets uncomfortable one should leave her be." Light said. "Or maybe I'm uncomfortable because I like someone here with me!" I blurted out and put my hands over my mouth. "I mean... I like no one?" I said, though it was more of a question. Both Light and L looked at me and I blushed. "I- I gotta go.." I said and walked out quickly.

I slammed the hotel door shut and paced around the room. "What happened?" Stitches asked. "I think I just allowed L to know I like him." I said. "But don't you come from a different world?" He asked and I nodded. "Yes I come from a different world but... I actually have feels for him." I said and fell face first into my bed and screamed into a pillow. I heard a knock at the door so I sent Stitches to see who it was. "Its L." He almost laughed. "Coming!" I shouted and walked to the door, opening it. "Yes L?" I asked. He walked inside, grabbing my hand along the way. "W-what are you doing L?" I asked, quite surprised. He turned toward me once we were on the room and seemed lost at words. "Keki.. I.. Um.. How do I put this." He started. He might not like me but I just to one time.. I thought and grabbed a fist full of his shirt and pulled him toward me, pressing my lips on his. He seemed surprised at first and before he could do anything I pulled away. "I just needed to do it once before you rejected me." I mumbled, looking at the ground. I felt arms wrap around me as he pulled me into a hug. "I-I love y-you too Keki.." He stuttered. I giggled lightly. Even his stuttering was cute. "How's your bite? It must hurt after running a while back here." He asked. After he mentioned it I felt pain shoot through my bite mark and I nodded. Before I could pull away to sit down he picked me up gently and placed me on the bed. I blushed and he put a hand on my cheek. "Cute." He smiled. "It's getting late. We should go to sleep." I said. He nodded and laid beside me. I snuggles close to him, putting my arms tightly around him before falling asleep, one question rigid through my mind: What are we now?
