Stuck in Death Note?!

Chapter Nine

I sat on my bed, smiling for no reason. "You're starting to scare me." Stitches said. "Me? Scaring a shinigami?" I laughed. He was about to say more but my phone started ringing. I picked it up and answered it. "Hello, Keki here~!" I sang. "Keki! Get down here quick! We found something." L said and hung up. "They found a death note.. Lights to be exact." I said to Stitches. "That means they found Kira right?" He asked and I shook my head. "You could say he let them find it." I said and got up, grabbed me bag, and ran out.

"What did you find?" I asked once I walked through the door. "This." L said and held up a death note. "What is it?" I asked. I noticed Stitches rolling his eyes. "We aren't sure but when we touched it we saw him." He said, pointing to Ryuk. "What? I see nothing." I lied. "Oh right." He said and passed it to me. I grabbed and looked over at Ryuk again and acted surprised. "What is it?" I asked. "He claims to be a shinigami." Light said. "Whats his name?" I asked. "Ryuk." L said. "Hey Stitches. How're things going?" Ryuk said and I glared at him. "Stitches? Who's Stitches?" L asked. "Maybe another shinigami." I said with a shrug. "If you want I'll try to find his death note by next week." I smiled. "Alright but be careful. He could write your name in it." L said and I nodded, even though I didn't need to be the slightest bit careful.

"Ryuzaki I found a death note! Stitches death note." I smiled and handed him the book. He opened it and looked through it before looking up at Stitches. "Who's the owner of this death note?" He asked and Stitches pointed to me. "The last owner threw it and unclaimed it and she found it. By picking it up she became the owner." He said. L turned toward me. "You won't write names in this right..?" He asked and I hugged him. "I hate death L." I giggled. "Alright here. Hold on it." He smiled and handed it to me. I hugged him tightly. "So has anything else happened?" I asked and he shook his head. I sighed and let him go. "I gotta go L. See ya." I smiled, kissing his cheek before leaving.

"Where do you think your going." A voice said and just like day one of being here said. "You again.." I sighed. "You beat us up. We're just here to return the favor." He said. "Goody." I said sarcastically. "Tai? You're the leader." I asked, surprised. "Hello again." He smiled. I looked over at Stitches with a cold glare. "Distract them." I hissed. "Who are you talking too." Tai asked. "A shinigami." I smiled and ran to an ally. I ripped out a piece of paper from the death note and threw it back. One of them caught and screamed when they saw Stitches. I giggled and climbed up the stairs on the building. I quickly climbed up followed by the others. I threw a flower pot at one of them and climbed to the top. I took out my death note and waited. When Tai was at the top I quickly wrote his name in the death note and held it out to him, smiling. He then fell to the ground, dead. "You just killed someone who wasn't following you." Stitches said, surprised. "Good time to try new things." I shrugged. I took off running on the building to the other side, jumping the small opening to the other building. I did that a few more times before climbing down the ladder. "We better hurry Stitches." I said and started running toward my home.

"Mom I'm home! I'll be upstairs!" I shouted and bolted up the steps before she could make me do something. I sat down on my bed, breathing a sigh of relief. "Something wrong?" a voice spoke and I jumped up. "L! Scare me again and I'll slap you!" I giggled. He smiled and walked over to me, sitting on my bed. "Even if you wanted too you couldn't." He said. "I know. Anyways what and how are you in my room?" I asked, tilting my head. "Your mom let me up and just came to see you. Now tell me what took you so long?" He asked, looking at me right in the eyes. "N-nothing happened." I tried to make it sound of the truth but my stuttering didn't help. "Keki." He said sternly. I deeply sighed, defeated. "This random gang tried to beat me up but I knew some fighting moves and got away unharmed." I smiled. "Unharmed? Keki there is a somewhat big scratch on your left cheek." He said. I lifted my hand up and sure enough I felt blood. After realizing I was hurt I felt the pain. "Oh.." I mumbled. I stood up only to fall to the floor and pass out.

~~~~~~~Seven Hours Later~~~~~~~

I woke up to be greeted by a dark room. The moon shine in from my window and I made out a sleeping L. I smiled, lightly kissing his cheek and felt mine to find it had a bandage. " Thank you L." I whispered so I would not wake him. He mumbled something in his sleep and I giggled softly. I then, after watching him sleep for a while, snuggled up to him. I started falling asleep but before I did I felt arms wrap around me tightly as if to protect me. After that I was asleep and in dream land.
