Epic Mickey Magic AU Chapter 5: The Risk Prix!

With the recent disappearance of Gremlin Markus, the group ran off to find him. To make sure they didn't miss anything, they made their way to the Mad Doctor's Attic. However, something big was happening in Autotopia. A bunch of Gremlins were super busy, flying around, carrying supplies, and teleporting here and there.

"What are the little guys up to?" Mikey asked, "They look like they're trying to get something done."

"You say little like we're bigger than them," Ollie pointed out.

"There's a difference! They're little, we're tiny!"

"Quite down, you two." Oswald glared at the two Star Sprites. "We don't need any fighting."

Mickey looked around. "Hey, Ozzie, you think these guys have any ideas where Markus might be?" He shrugged. "Just a suggestion. I'm not expecting them to know where he is."

Oswald sighed. "I guess it wouldn't hurt. Let's go, gang."

They walked over to a group of Gremlins that were taking a break. The Gremlins noticed them, and quickly got up. Well, all except one, but they all saluted.

"Good afternoon, your majesty," The gremlin to the right said, "What brings you to Autotopia?"

"We're looking for Gremlin Markus," Oswald told them, "An incident happened at Gremlin Village, and he ran off. We were hoping if you happen to see him pass by."

The tree gremlins shook their heads. "We haven't seen anything. We were helping Gilda get Autotopia up and running," The gremlin that was still sitting explained, "I ended up spraining my ankle, so I was taking a break while my friends were making sure I was okay. So, we would be the least likely to see anything."

"You might want to see Gilda about it, actually," The gremlin to the left suggested, "She and a group of certain other gremlins have been acting as supervisors. They might have seen something."

Oswald nodded. "I hope so. Thanks for your help."

"Hope your ankle gets better," Mickey said as they ran off to find Gilda.

After some time, the group found Gilda, who was talking to a group of gremlins. They seemed to be distracted, but that doesn't matter. Mickey walked up to them.

"Excuse me, Gilda," Mickey said.

Gilda turned around, noticing him. "Mickey! And his Majesty himself! It's good to see you again!" She grabbed Mickey's hand and shook it, then went to do the same to Oswald. "You should see the progress we've been making. These guys made it to where the racing course can change at will. It's amazing!"

"It sounds amazing as well," Oswald agreed, "but we're looking for Markus. We were wondering if any of your chosen supervisors saw him."

"Well, I don't think they have. There would've been some word about it, so I don't think he's here."

"I guess that he isn't in the Doc's Attic," Ollie said, "Let's try somewhere else."

"Where do sad gremlins go, anyways," Mikey asked.

"Um... If we knew that, we would've found Prescott-"

"I'll tell you where they go! They get captured by us!"

They look up to see Petetronic, looming over them. He laughed before jumping down. The gremlins hid behind Gilda, but Petetronic was focused on Mickey and Oswald.

"Well, I wasn't expecting you here, but you ain't as dumb as you look." Petetronic smirked. "So you're looking for that poor, gullible gremlin, ain't ya? Well, let me tell ya something, we can strike up a deal. I challenge all of you knuckle-heads to a race. If ya lose, we get your communes, but you get your Markus..."
