A new day blessed Wasteland, with the sun shining, birds singing, and another crash in the kitchen. It was bigger than last time and caused a scream from a certain couch-doozer.
The whole household was awake to investigate the noise. Seems like the culprit was a cabinet door falling off, causing the plates to fall out. Of course, those cabinets were as old as the whole house.
Oswald groaned at this. "It shouldn't be too hard to fix this. It's the plates that'll be a pain to replace."
"I'm surprised that everything held up for so long." Ortensia picked up the fallen door. "Aw, the paint's peeling off."
"We can always repaint it. Maybe something new, if you wish." Oswald walked over to her and gave her a little kiss on the cheek. "Let's see if we got a screwdriver somewhere.
The two went off to see if they could find a tool to fix the cabinet. Mickey, and the four hundred and twenty bunny children, were left alone. One of the bunny children went over to Mickey and tapped on his leg to get his attention.
"Uncle Mickey, can we have pizza for breakfast," they asked innocently.
"Um, I'm not sure..." Poor Mickey didn't want to say no, mostly because the kids were vicious when denied something. "You may want to ask your parents."
Another crash was heard from the house. Mickey quickly went over to see what was up, just to find that the door to the supplies closet had fallen off, and Oswald was buried under the contents of the closet.

"The doors are trying to kill us."
"I think everything holding the doors together got knocked loose because of the quakes," Ortensia said as she tried to get Oswald out from under the mess, "Maybe we should see if someone would know how much damage was caused by the quakes."
"Would any of the gremlins know," Mickey asked, "They've been working on their village, and Autotopia, so maybe they can help you out?"
"Gremlin Village got messed up because of Small Pete, and I'm sure Autotopia is still a work in progress," Oswald pointed out, "I doubt they got anyone available to do something about falling doors."
"We should still get someone to inspect the damage," Ortensia mentioned, "I don't want the house collapsing in on us."
Oswald sighed. "Fine. Mickey, go see if Gus has any gremlins free to help us out. I'm kinda stuck."
Mickey chuckled. "Don't worry, Ozzie. I'll be back soon."
Mickey hurried off, hearing Ortensia teasing Oswald about the nickname in the background.
Once out of the house, Mickey took a breath of fresh-ish air. The scent of thinner made his nose tingle, but there was supposedly work being done to clean the waters of Wasteland.
Mickey looked over at the yellow house that Oswald had built for him. Sadly, it had been crushed by a stray boulder from the fight with Big Pete on Mickey Junk Mountain, which is why he was staying in Oswald and Ortensia's place.
