"Or Else Thy The Same"

A powerful curse that can easily take any harmless or intense spell, and reverse it back onto the victim. In this case, Charles was cursed to kill any Cambion, but in return if he didn't...

He would become the Cambion.

By the time the horns had fully grown into small spikes from his forehead, Charles had blacked out. I quickly rushed over to him, avoiding the sharp ceramic still shattered across the floor.

I gently lifted Charles into my arms, cradling him close to me. A magenta like color has surrounded his face, almost like an ombre with his pale skin. I whisper under my breath a prayer, hoping to hell he would heal safely.

I carried him back up the creaky stair case, past the old, wooden door and back onto the white guest bed, carefully covering him up with the top duvet. I realize that his shirt is drenched in sweat (and also most likely tears), so I put out some new casual clothes for him (he's quiet small for his age, so my clothes could barely fit him).

I look back over to Charles to make sure he is comfy and warm enough. I'm proud of Charles. He fought harder then he did the day I first met him. That takes courage.

I head back downstairs to the kitchen, cleaning up the plate shards and leftover food that was on it. I sigh, exhausted from everything that just happened. I lay down on the couch, closing my eyes. I feel like that nothing has gone right since Charles has appeared, but he doesn't seem like the knight in red, If anything...

Charles is safe.

My only lover is safe.

and that alone, is a blessing from hell.
