Dreams

I laid beneath the tree, calmly just spending my time there. Luna was off with Dream, trying to help him with beating Nightmare. Or at least chase him off for another week.

Typical Thursday for the skeleton of dreams.

Luna was helping because she had discovered something big, and if it didn't work, then it would be a hard time of figuring out what to do next.

I let out a sigh, taking in the serenity of the place. It was so peaceful. Usually, there was fighting, or venting going on, but this... this was just perfect...

I love spending time with Dream, because of the positive aura he gives off. Don't get me wrong, Blue does that too! But he is a bit more hyper.

Dream was just the calm one. When I need to attack something, I go to a certain edgy skele to spar with. Otherwise, Dream calms the atmosphere, and helps with any night terrors or bad dreams going on.

I have had horrible ones lately, but more on that later.

I mostly, now, keep to myself about any nightmares I have. It's better that way. But, lately...?

They got worse...

Not thinking about it any longer, I decided to just close my eyes for a while. Focus on listening more than seeing, ya know? I took breaths in an even pattern, and didn't mean to, but I fell asleep there.

Timeskip:

I jolted, opening my eyes. I was still at the tree. I took deep breaths to calm my heart, and looked around at the serene area. Of course, another bad dream...

If you're thinking it was about a genocide run or something of that nature, you're wrong...

Fire...

Not my fire powers, no... I have perfect control over them.

But back home, there are fires going on around the area where I live. I kept myself calm by thinking about the forests, or drawings I was going to work on, but... it didn't feel right...

I couldn't keep this a secret much longer... I had to tell someone, because... it was messing with my head...

But, I kept it to myself. When Dream and Luna came back, I smiled in relief.

That faded when I saw Dream's look of worry towards me.

"Hey guys! How's it going?" I exclaimed.

"We just had a bit of a talk, and Nightmare's not attacking anyone. So my plan can't be put into action just yet... I'm going to go to Classic for a while. We have a date tonight." Luna blushed, waving as she left.

Dream kept his gaze on me, sitting beside me with the same look of worry. I kept silent, tilting my head at him.

He sighed, "Are you okay, Milly?"

"Please, Dream, I'm ok!" I smiled. "Just had a bit of a memory show up. Nothing too bad!"

I knew I was lying through my teeth at that moment, but what else could I do?! Tell the truth? Nope. Still trying to hide my fears here.

"Are you sure? You seemed scared for a minute when we showed up. What happened? Did Nightmare show up?"

I shook my head. "Dream, I'm alright, really!"

The skeleton beside me stayed quiet, before pulling out an orb of some kind. It showed fire, flames, Koalas trying to get away... I flinched and looked away from the orb.

Dream placed a hand on my shoulder, "I knew you were having bad dreams... they're just dreams, you know... they aren't real... the fire won't go near you or your family... You will be fine..."

"Dream... what if... what if it-?"

"None of those 'what if' moments, Milly!"

"B... But-"

"Nope! My turn to speak, you just listen, okay?"

I nodded.

"Good. Now, bad dreams are just fears you hold onto without telling anyone... they try and get you to say something..."

"But, Dream, what about those bad dreams that are just... never going to happen, because they are utter fiction, yet you still get scared?"

"Those? They are just... exaggerated fears... you simplify them to the main thing that got you scared, and then talk about it. But, in some cases, that doesn't work... in those instances, you just need someone there for you..."

I smiled at him, but the memories of the dreams really got to me. I began crying, but... I didn't allow it to be too bad.

Dream rubbed my back, but stayed silent. I kept my head away from him, trying to keep to myself. I hated crying. It just... made me feel more vulnerable... and weak.

Stupid? Yes.

Did I care? No.

I had calmed down after a while, and Dream instantly made me lay down. I looked up at him, and he smiled at me.

I relaxed, feeling the positive aura as usual. It calmed my worries for once.

Timeskip:

After a bit of a rest, I stood up. Dream looked at me with a tilted head, before realising I had to go to another AU. I opened a portal, smiling at Dream as he waved at me. I waved back, and jumped through the portal.

Okay, I know I said I wouldn't upload anymore today, but... I got this finished.

I have so many ideas, and I could keep this going with every AU I know if you guys want me to.

I just did the classic trio and the star sanses...

I want to save the bad Sanses for last...
