That following morning, I felt the humble feeling of satisfaction swirling around in my stomach. It was one of the most wonderful feelings, just waking up and knowing you were next to someone who loved you. I was lying on my front, and feeling Zac's arm draped over my body, holding me tightly against himself. I just watched as he slept, smiling at how innocent he looked. Not just innocent, but also kind of mischevious. He had a small grin that a little kid who snuck cookies out of the jar would have; honestly though, it was kind of cute. Zac started to stir and his eyes cracked open. I smiled at him, he sighed, then yawned, and rubbed his eyes.

"Morning,"

"Hi," those awkward morning greetings.

"How'd you sleep?" he asked.

"Pretty good, what about you?" I asked him.

"Like a baby." he replied.

"Good." I said. Zac brushed some of my hair back and kissed my forehead.

"So how does this sound: we watch re-runs Big Bang Theory on Netlfix. I'll run down to the corner store and get chips and salsa for nachos, you make some popcorn with that garlic seasoning that your mom likes. I had some a couple weeks ago, it was really good. What do you think?" he asked.

"Sounds good." I replied as I turned on my back.

"I love you." he whispered softly. Those words made my heart skip a beat. I exhaled as he leaned down and kissed me, softly and sweetly, over and over again. He pulled back after a moment, his arm still holding me in place. Instictively, my hand moved to his head, fingers running through his hair. He chuckled, not fighting it, and kissed me deeper. The soft and sweet turned strong and frenzied, the once feather-light kisses now pulled at my lips. I wasn't sure which way I prefered it; one way made my heart flutter; the made my heart swell.

"Hey, it doesn't take a university scholar to make me feel good." I told him.

"I'll keep that in mind." he said. Suddenly, we heard shouts coming from outside the door.

Mom and Howard.

"Shit, get up. Hide." Zac threw off the blankets and went to grab his clothes. I slipped on my bra and panties and pulled down the stair chord, when mom's voice got closer.

"Zac? Your father and I want to take you kids for breakfast. Get on up!" she shouted, I could hear her slippers shuffling against the floor and towards the door. I got two steps up the ladder when she whipped the door open, then stopped cold.

"Dani? What're you doing in here? And in your undewear?" she asked. This is usally where the little voice in the back of your head starts chanting 'Shit'.

"I-I-I found one of Zac's shoes in my room and I decided to give it back, but I was getting changed when I found it and I figured since he had already seen me in a bikini, underwear is pretty much the same so I thought nothing of it." I replied. She gave me a strange glance and a nod, before shaking her head.

"Right well um, get changed you two and-and Dani, put some clothes on please. We'll be ready in ten minutes." she said, then closing the door. I looked at Zac and blew a sigh of relief.

"That was way too close." Zac said.

"Yeah, next time I'll hide in your closet." I agreed.

Breakfast consisted of us going downtown to a little brunch place called Mira Soe's. Half of the items on the menu didn't even sound like breakfast options, so I just went with the blueberry pancakes.

"So, we were talking last night and we've come up with some final decisions for the wedding." mom said. Howard stopped eating and looked at her, very surprised.

"Wait -- we're gonna tell them now?" he asked.

"Why not? We definetely shouldn't wait 'till the last minute." she replied. Howard shrugged and nodded.

"Alright then, yes, we have come up with some plans." he said.

"Don't tell us you guys decided to elope, because than we would've wasted eight months on practically nothing." Zac said. I kicked his shin under the table so he would shut up; this was not the time for bullshit.

"Very funny. No, we decided to go to Hawaii for the honeymoon." he said. Lucky, I thought to myself. I had always wanted to go to Hawaii, and my mom knew that very well.

"However, we want you guys to come with." mom said. What? Is she serious?

"Seriously?" I asked, trying to blink back my utter shock.

"Yeah, we're family now after all." she replied.

"But this is your honeymoon, it's for you guys to be together and...wait, I guess I shouldn't say that." Zac said. I knew exactly what how he was going to finish that sentence; luckily he wised up and stopped himself.

"Dani, Zac, we've watched you two get off well-"

"Woah, what?" I asked my mom, very alarmed.

"I mean you two actually get along now, it's nice to see." she said, giving me a confused look.

"Oh, okay." I said, feeling very stupid. I thought she was talking about our secret relationship.

"You okay Dani?" Howard asked me. I felt Zac's hand grasp mine from under the table as I shook away my jitters.

"Yeah, sorry," I am such an idiot.
