Who was the sender of this mystery note? Probably one of my friends who got bored of the party. I mean who wants to be surrounded by drunk teenagers and get an overdose of PDA. *gags*

There was a small window on the opposite side which let the moonlight flood the room. It was faintly lit but just enough so I could make out most of the figures in the dark. I stood there waiting for two minutes. Silence was all i heard..except for the faded beats of the party music. Maybe someone was playing with me. Just as I was about to go back, I heard a sound. It seemed as though someone was taking deep, hurtfully long breaths and coughing. I turned back to see a figure lying on the well lit floor. At first I mistook it for a pile of misplaced clothes. Then I could see that it was a human! It was a girl. Then I noticed someone step out of the shadows. It was another girl. I could only see her silhouette while she knelt down before the girl on the floor. Then she leaned forward over the limp body. I couldn't see what she was doing until she pulled out a knife from the girl on the floor. The heavy breathing stopped. I stood there terrified. I had just witnessed a murder. My whole body was numb with fear. I kept myself well hidden in the shadows. The girl put the knife in her purse, looked around as if checking if anyone saw what she did, then ran away.

I carefully stepped out of the room & ran back to the party as fast as I could. Jason was waiting by the drinks counter sipping something red with an umbrella. I ran up to him.

"Jason, I witnessed a murder. I got a note asking me to go backstage. I went and I found a girl on the floor and then another girl came and actually killed her, Jason. Actually killed her!! She stabbed her with a knife. Can you believe it?? What should I do??", I said in a hurry. I was scared and freaking out. It was the first time that fear hit me this bad. Jason was the only one I could trust.

"Is this a prank. Because then you are really good at acting.", he said while looking at me through his narrowed-eyes.

What??? He thinks this is a joke?

"Jason I'm serious."

"Well then I'm Harry Potter and I need to kill Voldemort, if you'll excuse me. Julia stop such jokes because its not even funny."

"Jason, I'm not joking. I'm telling you the truth.", I said, getting all teary eyed. I'm not the kind of girl who cries easily but when the only person I think will believe me can't believe me. What do I do? I can't think.

"Hey, hey, are you crying? You must be seeing things. Besides, no one kills people in high school. First of all teenagers don't kill because they would never have a motive. And teachers, well, they won't because the school will lose its reputation. So all it could be is a prank or someone rehearsing for a play or something.", he said, not actually paying attention to what I was saying.

It was hopeless. He...he....he doesn't believe me. If he doesn't then no one would. I should better go home and think this through. I was already feeling sick of this party and with that episode....*shudders*

I step out of the hall as soon as I put on my hat. The cool wind blew sending chills through me. The path was lit only by moonlight and the decorative lanterns. There was a eerie feeling to it,all sorts of horror movie scenes playing through my mind. I walked as fast as I could nearly sprinting. I wanted to get out of school. It was silent, even in the streets. I was just waiting for a cab when, out of nowhere, police sirens blared and broke the awkward silence. My heart skipped a beat.

Why was I panicking?! It's not like I did anything wrong. I quickly calmed myself down. There was probably some car accident down the road. It was quite common. To my surprise and shock, the four police cars stopped in right infront of me.

Ok, now something's wrong. Something's really, really wrong. The police officers step out and holster their guns as they walk into the school. I stop an officer and ask him what was going on.

"Miss, we have been informed of a murder at this school. Please step aside. Oh, and Miss, we would like you to please return to the party as we would like to conduct sessions with everyone."

"Ok",I croaked.

That's all that came out of my mouth. That's all I could manage. I was too stunned. A creepy feeling took over me, fear and panic started to cloud my mind. Did Jason report the murder? No, he wouldn't. He didn't even believe me. I was the only witness and I didn't report it.

Then who did?
