Chapter 02

Jimin just finishes his meeting with his staff. The meeting went well. He was glad to see his worker working so hard to make the project successful. The staff quietly walking out of the meeting room as soon as he dismissed the meeting. His secretary saw his expression suddenly change.

"Sir, are you okay? Do you need anything?" The secretary said. Jimin looked up at her with a little smile.

"Erm... No." Just she about to get out of the room he spoke again.
"Wait. Can you make a coffee?" He said while getting up to go back to his room.

"Yes, sir." The secretary said. She looked at the young man back as he walked into his room. While passing the other staff, the secretary accidentally heard them talk about the boss.

"I saw Sir Jimin this morning. He must sleep in his office again. I also notice that he was not in a good mood." Sally said.

"I saw it too. Lately, he looks so sad." Dong Woon joins them.

"If you guys so care, why don't you just go and help him." Ga In the secretary said. The staff look at her and silently walking to their place.

After a moment, Ga In enters Jimin's office. She quietly places the coffee on the table when saw Jimin was resting on the couch. He looks so tired.

"Sir. Did you sleep here last night?" She asked.

"A week to be exact. I can't go home." Jimin said while slowly sit up on the couch. Ga In knew what he was trying to say. She understands why he always ended sleep in the office.

"Maybe you should talk to her face to face. You can't just avoid her like that." She said and sit opposite him. Jimin looks at his secretary.

"Tell me how, Ga In. Every time I saw her, I can't control myself. I really don't know what to do."

"I know that. But don't you worried about her stay alone at home. What if something happens to her? She doesn't have anyone else except you."

"She is my niece. My sister's daughter."

"Correction. Step-sister. You don't have any blood-related. So, that means you can marry her." Jimin stares at the secretary's face. It's true what she said. They are unrelated.

"Hmm... I don't know Ga In. She might have someone in her mind." He sighs and takes a sip of coffee. Ga In doesn't know what to do to help him. She doesn't have any experience with love.

"Well, I don't know how to help you, sir. I also never been in love. But as a secretary, I only wish you could be professional to not mix up your personal life and business. Just what I had seen in the meeting room ago. You look so distracted. Just go home and take a rest, sir." Ga In said. She was worried about his health too. She notices that he look a bit thinner than usual.

"But I-"

"You're free today. No meetings for two days. Just use it as well. Don't worry about the company. You can trust us." Ga In said with a wide smile.

Eunji just finishes cooking when Jimin enters the house. She thought that was Taehyung. She invites him to the house to study together since they have some discussions about their assignment.

"Tae! I'm in kit...chen." She shouts but was surprised to see her uncle walking into the kitchen.
"Urm... Uncle? What are you doing here?" She asks bluntly forgetting that he is the owner of the house. Jimin stares at her weirdly.

"Huh? Am I not allowed to come home?" He asked with a sigh. He walking to the kitchen island and sat on the chair. He places the briefcase beside him.
"What are you cooking?" He added peeking on the stove.

"Ah... I making kimbab and beef stew." She snapped back to reality when he looks at her. She turned back to serve the meals.

"Oh, I see. So, how are you these days? I'm sorry for not at home to accompany you. There are problems at the company that needs me." Jimin said tried to not make her feels bad.

"It's okay. I'm fine. Taehyung always comes to look at me. Sometimes he sleeps here too." Eunji said while getting the plates. Jimin was shocked to hear that.

"He what?" He asked again to make sure that he heard right.

"He sleeps here. But don't worry. He brought his cousins too. You know Naeun and Mari, right?"

"Glad to hear that. I thought it just you two. Don't be so careless to bring any man at home. You should be aware of people too. You are a girl, Eunji." Jimin said while looking at the girl. She just silently listen to him.

"Yeah, I know that. That why I asked him to sleep here. Lately, I heard a lot about intruders and robberies. So, I have someone to look after me, unlike someone that always been tried to ignore me." She said sarcastically to him. Jimin feels a bit angry at her words. He knows that she was mocking him to not coming home.

"Don't start it. I just home." He said and take a bite to taste the food.

"Then, don't say anything." She said but something come to her mind.
"Anyway, do you forget something?" She asked and looked up at him with curiosity.

"Forget what? I never miss anything important to me. So... No." He said without thinking. Eunji only gives a fake smile before going to the living room.

Jimin eats his meals when someone rings the doorbell. Eunji smiles and went to open the door. Just she opens the door someone shouts from outside.

"Surprise!! Happy Birthday, girl!!" Taehyung and the other friends shout. Eunji invites them inside. Jimin at the kitchen heard them and facepalm himself.

"Shit! How come I forget that?" He cursed himself silently. As soon as he finish eating, he took a glance at Eunji and her friends. Eunji ignores Jimin while her friends greet him. She didn't want to look at him.
