If you want to do something, just remember: half of the times, it will hardly go like you hoped to. And if it does go as you wanted, then you just have to wait for the other shoe to drop. There is no perfect plan. Life is not perfect, and it's definitely not easy. You have to earn your happiness. You have to work for it.
A simple road does not exist. Fasten your seatbelt and prepare yourself for what is coming. And maybe, just maybe, the end will be worth it.

Alex woke up knowing that that would be the perfect day to make his move. He didn't know why, he just had that feeling. He stretched, a smile on his face while he remembered a good dream of the previous night.
He hopped out of bed and went straight to the bathroom, anxious to start his shower and his day. While the water ran over his body, he mentally revisited his speech. It shouldn't have been a big deal, but in his heart he knew it was.
He drank his coffee quickly, feeling like he needed all the energy he could gather, then he prepared himself for the busy day he had at work. He couldn't concentrate though, his mind was completely off; the only thing he could think of was his date night with Scott, his face once Alex would ask him to move in together.
He dressed extra nicely that night, feeling like he had something to show. The previous feeling of certainty was nowhere to be seen, replaced by anxiety going through his veins. Suddenly he wasn't so sure anymore.
----
Scott suddenly opened his eyes, feeling uncomfortable, covered in cold sweat. He had had a night full of nightmares, but he didn't remember the full extend of them. The only thing that he did remember was the images of Mitch screaming at him, and Alex crying.
Why one of those things should happen, he didn't know. He sat up in bed, his breath ragged, and ran his hands trough his hair, trying to chase away that uneasy feeling.
What the hell is wrong with my mind? What could it be the reason to upset both Mitch and Alex?
He had no idea, but there was no doubt in his mind that it was his fault. Maybe his subconscious was trying to tell him something, but what?
Scott stood, hoping that a shower will help to fix his weird emotions. Then, after drying himself, he checked his phone, going through his mentions on twitter and seeing his friend's snapchats. He smiled at the last text Alex had sent to him, then - when he thought it wasn't that early anymore - he sent a text to Mitch.
Scotty: R u awake? I need coffeeeee
He waited a few minutes for his reply, but it didn't came. Is he still sleeping? I hope not, I don't wanna do the coffee run alone.
He sent another text, and then another, and another one. That's when he heard the loud groan coming from Mitch's bedroom and he smiled at himself, knowing that his bestfriend was now awake.
Mitchy: Y u bother me sooo early
Scott laughed to himself. He could easily envision Mitch still groggy from sleep, trying to type on his phone with his eyes half-closed, covered by his black sheets. He decided to not reply to his text, instead he hopped out of bed, heading to his bestfriend's room. He knocked once, just to give him some advice, and then barged in through the door, basically launching himself inside the room and to the bed with all his non existent grace.
