Seungcheol didn't know what to expect the next morning.

It started normally. Seungcheol had his own room, much smaller than the other bedrooms in the house, but that was because it was more of a storage closet than a room before he put a bed, a desk, and a closet and proclaimed it a bedroom. The small fit was fine if it meant he didn't need a roommate. After taking care of his business and checking e-mails in case he was needed in the city today (he wasn't), Seungcheol proceeded to head into the kitchen to start with breakfast. He made it down just as the front door opened, the sound startling him.

It was Jun. He didn't seem surprised to see Seungcheol up, even if it was barely seven in the morning. "You didn't mention you went out. What time did you wake up?" Seungcheol asked. Unlike Jun, Seungcheol was still in his pajamas. That, and Seungcheol wasn't carrying an ice cooler.

They both went into the kitchen, Seungcheol's curiosity rising. Jun took a moment to pull open the curtains and admire the light that spilled into the room before turning his attention back towards Seungcheol. "I left just as the sun came up. Had to meet a friend to get these, and he has a busy day ahead." Jun raised the ice cooler and placed it on the breakfast bar before taking off his jacket.

"Friend, huh? Would I happen to know this friend?"

"You sound more like a dad every day." Jun laughed at the look Seungcheol gave him.

Deciding that breakfast would consist of eggs, toast, and a wide selection of cereal for the ones who want something a little more sweet in the morning, Seungcheol hadn't even been looking at Jun when he asked, "What did you get from this friend?"

"Blood."

Seungcheol nearly dropped the pan he was taking out of the cabinet.

His head whipped towards Jun who was, in fact, holding a plastic bag filled with blood in his hand. Seungcheol's mouth fell open, much like the cooler's lid. "You.. what?"

Jun seemed surprised at Seungcheol's reaction. "What's wrong, hyung? You do remember we have a vampire in—oh. Oh, you think the blood is from–" Jun burst out laughing before he could finish and Seungcheol had to physically stop himself from trying to gently take the plastic bag of blood away from Jun in case it slipped from his grip and made a mess on their breakfast bar. Seungcheol doubted anybody would find it appetizing to eat breakfast if their kitchen looked like a crime scene.

"Yanan is a vampire. Like Minghao, he only drinks animal blood. He has a small house in the woods, not far from where we are actually. Living in the woods makes it easier for Yanan to have access to animals than to make a risky purchase and have the wrong kind of people tailing him. I called him up last night and told him about Minghao. Since Yanan comes to the city everyday for work, I just met with him a few miles away from the bus stop." Jun stepped back and used one hand, the one not holding the plastic bag, to gesture towards the ice cooler. "And luckily, he keeps more than a few spare."

Seungcheol felt immensely pleased that Jun would do that for Minghao. He also felt a little ashamed that he hadn't thought of doing that the minute they brought Minghao in. If it weren't for Jun, Seungcheol wouldn't have known where to get that much blood without stealing it from somewhere. Or attracting attention from the police.

Before Seungcheol could express his gratitude towards Jun for thinking of their guest, Seungkwan's voice floated through the living room and was getting closer to the kitchen. "Cheol hyung?"

Seungcheol might've forgotten that while Jun may have his moments–the ones where he seemed to have his own world and nobody knew what exactly the wizard was doing or thinking—it wasn't normal for him to just casually be holding a plastic bag filled with blood, with more bags of blood in front of him
