Siri's POV

"Baby, just one more push, you can do it. I love you." Laolu said, holding my left hand while his mum held the other.

We had flown to UK so I could birth the baby and his parents were presently permanent here.

Life has been great with Laolu. He is so caring, adoring and attentive but right now I wanted to kill him for making me go through this pain.

"If you touch me again, I am going to kill you." I said breathing hard. His Mum pushed back my hair. I was sweating profusely. She said,

"Siri, my dear, look at me. You can do it. One more push and you are done."

     "Okay Mum." I agreed.

     The doctor said, "Let's go."

They all chorused, "One. Two. Three. Push!!!"

I gave it my best shot and seconds later, cries filled the ward. Laolu shouted for joy.

Once they've cleaned up the baby, Laolu brought him to me. It was a baby boy. I fell in love on the spot. I said,

"I can't believe he is finally out."

"Well, he is and in your hands. You did all the work."

"I wouldn't have gotten anywhere if you were not standing by me."

"I'm blushing. Come here." He said and leaned to kiss me. I responded then His mum came to carry the baby. I handed him over to her and while she was whispering sweet nothings to her grandson as tears of joy rolled down her face, I turned to the love of my life. He was holding a ring and he asked without a beat,

     "Will you marry me?"

     "Laolu!"

     "Yes baby?"

"I... Of course. I will. I love you."

"I love you more." He said as he kissed me and slid the ring on my finger. The whole ward applauding us.
