(October 31, 1981; Voldemort attacks...)

One young Harry Potter sat in his crib on a Hallowe'en night.  He spotted the old man sitting in a chair across the street, watching. Harry recognized the old man, he had been to their house several times, however, tonight felt different. Harry knew something was going to happen and knew that the old man knew about it too.

He hears his father shout that someone's here. He heard his father tell his mother to grab Harry and leave. He watches in mild curiosity and amusement as his mother rushes up and stands in front of Harry, protectively.

A few minutes later a man extremely similar to a snake walks into the room.

"Move aside," he tells his mother.

"No, not Harry," his mother, Lily, replies.

"I'm here for him, move out of the way," the snake man tries again.

"Not My Harry," Lily replies.

"Last chance," The weird man states.

"Take me instead, leave him alone," Lily replies.

"Avada Kadevra," the snake man states.

A bright green light leave's the man's wand and Harry's mother falls to the ground, never to move again.

Harry watches with amazement in his eyes, although he knew that he was next, he was curious about the green light.

He watched as the snake man came and turned his wand on him.

'What a stupid man, attacking a defenseless child," Harry thought to himself.

Harry knew he was always a little different than the average wizard or human. He was always able to see what was going on, able to see every one, even when his dad puts that strange sheet over is head; what's up with that, anyway? It was how he was able to see the old man watching with a victorious smile on his face. Harry knew he was far more advanced than the average one-year-old wizard, but he wasn't able to dwell on it, as the same green light filled his vision.

A searing pain shot through the toddler's head, but quickly passed. A weird glowing field surrounded him and shot the green light back at the snake man. The body of the snake man vanished, but Harry watched as a spirit form of the man flew away. The old man vanished after that.

Soon he saw his uncle Padfoot enter the room, he picked Harry up and hugged him. Then a giant man came and said that Dumbledore is going to bring him to his relatives, he will be safe there.

Sirius handed Harry to the giant man and ran off, after Pettigrew, he was the secret Keeper, and Harry knew this.

Harry fell asleep as he was flown to his muggle aunt's house. He knew this was part of the old man's plan. He remembered hearing how much his aunt hated his mother. He pretended to sleep as he heard a woman who turned into a cat tell the old man that these people were awful. The old man said that he would be safe and that everything was going to be okay. Harry frowned when he felt the compulsion magic rush over his body, towards the cat woman.

"Alright, Dumbledore," the cat lady agreed.

They left young Harry on the ground in a blanket with a letter. He was found by his aunt 30 minutes later.

TIME SKIP

Harry was treated horribly when he entered the Dursley House. The old man knew it too, however, Harry remembered all the magic he ever saw anyone perform. He just hadn't figured out how to access his magic yet. He was only three.
