The following Yule Celebration, Hadrian went over to 12 Grimmauld Place. He was busy on his birthday, so he didn't visit his godfather and godmother then. When he arrived, he was surprised by the decorations around the house. He nodded at them in appreciation.
He took Asmodeus off of his ear and returned him to his regular size and let him roam around the place, warning him to not eat any house-elves he might come across. Asmodeus begrudgingly agreed and slithered off.
"Kreacher," Hadrian called.
"Yes, little Master?" Kreacher replied, popping into the room.
"Are Sirius and Remus home?" Hadrian asked the elf, having gotten used to the name over the last few visits.
"No, they are doing last-minute shopping," Kreacher responded.
"Alright. Can you inform them that I am here and will be in the library when they return?" Hadrian asked.
"I will do that now. Is there anything else?" Kreacher asked.
"Just a glass of water in the library, other than that, I'm content," Hadrian replied.
Kreacher nodded and popped to get the water and tell Sirius and Remus what was asked of him.
Hadrian walked up the stairs and to the library that he knows like the back of his hand. He returned a few of the invisible books that he has finished and pulled out a different book, one that everyone can see. It was about Dark Traditions and Light Traditions. Hadrian, being the curious scholar he is, sat down next to the glass of water that Kreacher got him, and began to read it. He had already finished his Yule shopping, so he had time to kill. This would be his first Yule with other wizards and witches. Not that he minded celebrating at Slender Mansion, it was just different. It was almost one in the afternoon when Hadrian heard a sound downstairs. He marked the spot in his book and went to investigate.
He walked downstairs and saw that it was just Sirius and Remus. They had finally returned.
"You guys took forever. Did you wait until the last minute?" Hadrian spoke up, causing Sirius to jump. Remus would have, had he not been a werewolf and smelt him coming.
"Yes. He did, which means that I had to wait until last minute as well," Remus said, a slightly annoyed and slightly fond expression on his face.
"Why did you have to wait?" Hadrian asked, not understanding that.
"It's tradition to do shopping together for Yule and such. Meaning, everyone shops at the same time, so if one wants to wait until last minute, everyone else does too," Sirius replied, a smug smirk on his face.
"I already did my shopping. Got it done back in October. Anyway, are we celebrating with the Malfoys?" Hadrian asked.
"Why back in October? And yes, we will be going to their place for the ritual tonight, the feast will be there, then we will come back here, sleep for a bit, then do Yule presents with each other," Sirius informed Hadrian of the plans.
"Great. I'll have to remember to grab their presents before we leave then," Hadrian replied.
"Well, go get them, we leave in thirty minutes," Remus told his cub.
Hadrian nodded and ran back up the stairs to the library, where he left his magically enhanced bag.
He snuck a book into the bag as well, then quickly made his way back downstairs. He saw that Remus and Sirius were waiting for him.
"Sorry, nagged a book to read. You never know when you might need one," Hadrian said.
"It took you 20 minutes to decide on a book?" Sirius asked looking confused. He'd just grab a random book, assuming he would actually grab one. Remus just looked amused.
