Lucius watched the child leave in curiosity, he completely disappeared before Lucius could even follow. With a shrug, he continued his business in Knockturn Alley, then he quickly returned to his home and told his wife what happened.
Narcissa recommended that the both of them, and Draco, get checked at Gringotts for compulsions and such. She found it odd that a child claimed that she was his godmother, yet she did not remember.
"Do you know who the child was, dear?" Narcissa asks her husband.
"No, I don't. Although, Gringotts might be able to help us figure it out. Plus, I bumped into him as he was leaving Knockturn Alley. I found it rather strange that he was there, so when I mentioned that it wasn't for children, he smiled and agreed. Mentioning that everywhere else was boring. He was rather a rather strange boy," Lucius responds to her.
"Alright. Let's get going. We need to figure this out," Narcissa replied, then called out, "Draco, dear. Please come here."
A 9-year-old blond boy came down the stairs, "Yes, mother?" the boy asked.
"We are making a trip to Gringotts, go get your shoes on," Narcissa told her son.
Draco nodded and went and grabbed his shoes, then went back to where his parents were waiting for him.
The family apparated out and landed in front of the bank.
"I need to speak to the goblin in charge of the Malfoy accounts," Lucius spoke to one of the goblin tellers.
With a small sneer at the lack of respect, the goblin got up and led the three to the goblin in charge of their bank vaults.
"Master Sharpfang, Malfoy family here to see you," the goblin spoke.
"Send them in," Sharpfang replied.
The teller goblin opened the door and let the Malfoy family in before leaving to return to his post.
"What do you need today, Lord Malfoy?" Sharpfang asked.
"I would like my family and I to be checked for compulsion charms, potions, and blocks, please. We would also like to know if Narcissa has a godson that she doesn't remember," Lucius told the goblin in his stereotypical 'I'm better than you' tone.
"Of course. Who will be going first?" Sharpfang asks, getting three potion soaked parchments and a ritual dagger. These parchments were specific for testing for potions and compulsions.
"Draco will be going first. Followed by Narcissa, then myself," Lucius replied, putting his family before himself.
The goblin looked at the head of the Malfoy family with slight respect in his eyes. The goblin respected that he put his family first, many heads of families don't.
Draco walked up to the goblin, who handed him the knife.
"Place three drops of blood on the potion soaked parchment. It will show us any compulsions or potions that are in your system," Sharpfang spoke.
Draco did that and the parchment gave the results.
