Chapter 14

Still at St. Mungo's...

When the dreamless draught wore off, Sirius woke up feeling refreshed. He sighed deeply as he remembered what happened last night. He pulled out the letter from his godson and nodded. He knew he still needed to work on the obliviates. He sat in a meditative pose and withdrew to his mind.

Once he entered his mind, he worked to sort out his memories, they were all sorts of screwed up from the dementors. He also went through his memories before Azkaban and worked out what actions were due to the potions and compulsions, and what wasn't. He eventually came to a blank spot. He pushed out the cloud-like block and was able to see the memory.

Memory:

"Hey, can I talk to you, Sirius?" Lily asked of him.

"Of course, Lils. What do you need? Is everything alright?" he asked.

"Everything is fine. I just came across some information that makes me question some things," Lily replied.

"Alright. What did you come across?" Sirius asked.

"I recently went to Gringotts and took an inheritance test. It was something that was recommended for all muggle-borns, so I thought I would give it a shot, not really expecting anything to come from it," Lily explained.

"Alright. It's good that you went to take that. So what did it tell you? Do you have a copy of it?" Sirius asked her.

Lily nodded and brought out the parchment from her expanded pocket. She opened it to make sure that it was the right one. When she saw that it was, she sighed a little and handed it to Sirius.

Sirius looked up at Lily in shock and amazement, "You aren't a muggleborn," he whispered to her.

Lily shook her head in agreement, "No, I'm not. I also don't want anyone to know right now unless I tell them specifically," she added.

"Who do you plan to tell?" Sirius asked out of curiosity.

"I plan to tell Narcissa and Severus," Lily told him.

"Why Narcissa? You aren't going to tell James?" Sirius asked, confused.

"If I ever have a child, I want her to be their godmother, even if I don't tell James about it. And, not yet. I will eventually tell James, but right now, I don't want to. You know how well he can keep a secret," Lily said with a fond smile on her face.

"Don't I know it. I'm amazed that he managed to keep Remus a secret, never mind our Animagi forms," Sirius replied, an amused smirk on his face.

Memory end...

Sirius continued moving when the memory ended, he still needed to find out when he and Remus got together and if they were actually bonded or not.

When he came across another cloud, he worked away the cloud-like block and watched that memory too.

He watched the memory and saw that he was bonded with Remus. Sirius was Remus' mate.
