Chapter 13

When quarter til three rolled around, Harry used his ability to change into someone that could pass as a Malfoy relative. He walked over to Malfoy and was led to the floo.

"Ministry of Magic," Lucius called out. He disappeared in a wall of green flames, Hadrian quickly followed.

When Hadrian arrived at the Ministry, he quickly wrapped his magic around him, making him invisible to everyone other than Lucius.

"Lucius, you are the only one able to see me, so don't talk to me unless you want to seem crazy," Harry warned.

Lucius nodded and walked towards Courtroom Ten. When the two entered the courtroom, Harry stayed along the back wall, and Lucius went to sit in his seat on the Wizengamot.

At exactly three o'clock, the judge walked up to his stand, and Sirius Black was brought it. (A/N I do not know how a normal court proceeding happens.)

"Today, on September 19, 1989, Sirius Orion Black will be tried for the charges of the murder of 12 muggles, murder of Peter Pettigrew, for serving a Dark Lord, and for giving the Potters up to said Dark Lord. How do you plead?" Cornelius Fudge asks Sirius.

"Not Guilty," Sirius speaks.

Many whispers started appearing in the court.

"Alright, you also consented to the use of Veritaserum, were you made aware that you do not have to agree to it?" Fudge asks Sirius.

"Yes on both accounts," Sirius replied.

"Alright. Auror Scrimgeour, administer the Veritaserum," Fudge replied.

The auror gave the required amount of serum and then stepped back.

"Is Sirius Orion Black your full name?" Fudge asked.

"Yes," Sirius replied monotonously.

"Were you a part of the Black family?" Fudge asked.

"Yes, however, my mother tried to disown me, but the old Lord denied her request," Sirius explained.

Fudge nodded and turned to Amelia Bones, "Head Auror Bones, you may start your questioning," he stated.

With a nod, Amelia turned and look at Black, "Mr. Black, did you kill Peter Pettigrew on October 31st, 1981?"

"No. I wanted to, but he got away before I could," Sirius answered.

"Why did you want to kill him?" Amelia asked.

"He was the Secret Keeper, he gave them away to Voldemort," Sirius replied.

"Okay. And how did he get away?" Amelia asked.

"He blew up the street, killing twelve muggles, cut off his own finger, then transformed into his rat animagus and ran into the sewers," Sirius answered.

"Did you ever support or serve Voldemort, marked or otherwise?" Amelia asked.

"No," Sirius answered.

"Okay, last question. Do you know who performed the Fidileus Charm?" Amelia asked.

Hadrian smirked wickedly at this question, he remembered that it was Dumbledore, even when they switched who the secret keeper was.

"Albus Dumbledore performed the charm. He knew who the Secret keeper was," Sirius replied.

Amelia paled, as did most of the courtroom.

"Are you telling us that Albus Dumbledore knew you were innocent, yet, let you stay in Azkaban for 8 years?" Fudge asked, not believing what he heard.
