As class went on you let your mind wander a bit, after all you knew all of what was being taught--even children in your country knew these things[1]. You thought about how school was going to be, how were your friends in Belvisida? How was your grandfather[2] as he traveled the world?

All of the sudden there was a sharp pain in your neck; something happened in Belvisida. Quickly you clutched your neck as you raised you hand, drawing the attention of the other countries in the room. The teacher called on you.

"I was wondering if I could step out for a-" You began, but a stern look from Mrs. Karen's[3] face shut you up.

   "No! This is important history!"

   "But-"

"Nonsense! Shush!" You were stunned. This is a teacher at a prestigious school for countries, she knew you were countries, she knew the power you had, why was she being so condescending and commanding?

Nevertheless, you continued to sit through class holding your neck, wincing every once in a while as it got worse. You could hear screaming of your people in your head. Something must have happened in the west. You gained some sympathy looks from the other countries. You returned them with a forced smile.

As class ended Mrs. Karen walked out and left you to your own devices. You quickly grabbed your phone and opened Belvisidan News. There had been collapsing in of a mine. A few injured, some dead. That mine was one of your main sources of iron and gold, the economy would surely drop soon. Luckily everyone was evacuated soon after and were put into intensive care[4].

Your face was pulled into a large, distorted frown. England came over to you as the other three left for their next classes. Germany and Japan going left, and Italy going right.

"'Ello, love. Been a while, hasn't it?" He sat at the desk next to you.

"Yes. It's pleasant to see you again." You said as you continued to read the article.

"Are you okay? You seem stressed.." He was genuinely worried for you.

"There was a..small..collapsing in the west." You were lying through your teeth when your said it was small. He noticed, he didn't say anything, but he could see how forced the words were and the worry in your eyes. You truly cared for your citizens.

"I see, well then love, I'll be off." He started to walk away, but he stopped and turned back to you. "What might be your next class?"

   "I believe it is cooking." You remembered your schedule;

Ad Hist

Cooking

English

Ad Dutch[5]

Lunch

Gym

Science

Algebra

(Im just putting in random classes where you'll meet more people, I have no idea what I'm doing lmAo)

"Well, love, I have cooking as well." He seemed smug about it, "We best be off."

The walk there was boring, a bit of small talk, Arthur asked you to call him, well, Arthur. First name basis, exciting.

As you came to a stop in front of the door you looked at England.

"Ladies first." He gestured to the door.

"A gentleman, as always." You teased. You felt a bit more comfortable around him, maybe some playful banter would help?

You turned the handle and opened the door.

   "Ve~ Bella!"

   "Bastardo!".

[Italian: Bastard]

It might be a while before next chapter! I was injured and it will be a while before I can update again (knowing me it'll be like a day or two, I love this story too much to not write and update). This story probably will not get updated tomorrow and possibly overmorrow. Sorry!

2. Belvisida's grandfather used to be Levirasnia (leh-veer-ah-snee-ah), he was an Ancient who held his country status until 120 years ago when you came along. Lauvia (Low-vee-ah) got independence as a micronation 60 years before you did, and Levirasnia was reformed as Belvisida soon after.

3. I just...her names Karen.

4. Belvisida has incredible healthcare, while it isn't free, it is very cheap and doctors in Belvisida are some of the best in the world.

5. Belvisida's personification is fluent in many languages (French, Spanish, German, Hungarian, Russian, Belvisidan7, and most scandinavian languages) but Dutch has always challanged her. She wishes to be better at it.

7. Belvisida has her own language! Words like 'Hed (Hello)' and 'Fricsian (Farewell/Goodbye)' will be used in later chapters.
