Okay I'm concerned that Granpai and Sasha seem creepy? Yes? No? Anyways, here's a quick drawing of the layout of Belvisida's hiding place. Does reader seem a bit OOC sometimes? I feel like her break down came too soon (so does kiwikween [my @ isn't working, sorry!]), like, she would've waited for everyone to leave, right?
-Concerned Marzia
You hunched down beside the lockers, you were sure they couldn't see you from there, but you could hear them. Looking at the man, he seemed to be the exact replica of your grandfather, but with lighter hair and red eyes. His eyes were also sad, he looked slightly younger than your grandfather. Slightly.
"...nice to see you again Sasha." Your grandfather said. So that was your grandfather's look alike's name?
"Yes, to you a-as well." The lookalike spoke, his voice softer but deeper than your grandfather's, he tripped on his last words, though his voice seemed generally steady.
"Why are you here?" Your grandfather asked.
"I have news, you must be careful-f-full." Sasha seemed to have a small stuttering problem, though it wasn't a shy or scared stutter, it was just him.
"What news? Why?" Your grandfather seemed to grow frantic, while you couldn't see him very well, you knew he was probably frowning.
"They will be c-coming next week. Keep her away from him. H-he will hurt her." Sasha continued, concerned. "S-she is very important to me, too." Who is this girl?
"I'm glad you care about her, why are they coming?" Your grandfather asked.
"They were caught up in some b-bad stuff. Their school is going to be searched by the police and they need to evacuate, they decided a-another universe might be a good p-place, especially since they're guaranteed a roof over t-their heads." Sasha continued.
"God dammit, why now? She was just coming out of her shell." It clicked. They were talking about you. Who will hurt you? Who are they? Another universe? Who is Sasha?
"Explain, Granpai." You quickly jumped out of your hiding spot, looking sternly at the two men standing in front of you. Your grandfather looked surprised. Sasha looked at you with fatherly love, seeming both happy and upset to see you.
"Barushnia!" Your grandfather said.
"Who is Sasha? Who are they?" You questioned further.
"Well- This is not a good place to speak of such matters, come, to your dorm." Your grandfather beckoned you over with a gesture of his hand.
The walk to your dorm was silent, tense. You looked at Sasha every once in a while, he stared at you, seeming happy to see you even though you've never met him in your entire life. He seemed familiar with you.
Entering your dorm the two men began to turn over every pillow, unplug every electronic, and remove every lightbulb.
"What- Hey! Put that back!" You said to your grandfather as he took out the lightbulb in the small floor lamp.
"It's to make sure there are no bugs, Barush, and to make sure no one else is here." He was serious. Sasha came back from the bedroom.
"Clear." He said.
"Sit," Your grandfather said, "I will tell you everything."
You all sat, you sitting alone on the love seat and them sitting on the long couch.
"First of all, Sasha is me, as I am Sasha."
"Pardon? That makes no sense, it's not possible-" A stern look from your grandfather shut you up.
"He is a 2p. An alternate version of me, from an alternate history, from an alternate timeline, from an alternate reality.
"There is another universe, one with more evil than good. He comes from it, but he is good, not bad. Do not worry about him, he poses no threat against you." Really? You didn't believe him! But, you didn't necessarily not believe him, I mean, he seemed serious, maybe?
"Is.. there another me?" Both of the men's faces dropped.
"...No, barush, sadly there is not." Your grandfather said. "In that universe the history is different, and while most of it stays the same--maybe with more violence--the biggest difference is that you don't exist. You remember our history, right? I told you before.
"Well, in the alternate universe, Russia-" you winced his name "-is more controlling. He, instead of settling for half the country, took the whole country once more under his control. Sasha and his people tried to revolt, but it didn't work. Sasha stays as Levirasnia, and you never exist." He finished, a sorrowful look on his face.
"Oh."
"You know, y-you have always been important to me, I knew about you and kept you from Viktor--2p Russia--so he wouldn't come take you. I'm happy you are l-living a good life. You may not be from my universe, but you are my granddaughter, nonetheless." Sasha said, as he sat next to you, gently holding you, and looking you over with content. This almost broke you, almost. Even though the tears began to flow your face did not contort into sadness.
"Oh." You said. Sasha--or Grandpai Sasha--brought you into a hug, he was cold but there was warmth in his heart.
"Barush, there is more." Your grandfather (this will get confusing quick, Sasha is Sasha, grandfather is Ivo) said as Sasha released you, going back to his spot on the long couch.
"The 2ps-" The words escaped his mouth, drowning in venom, "-will be coming next week. They will probably study here for awhile, acting as students. I need you to avoid them at all costs, they do not know of you, and I'd like to keep it that way. Especially Russia. Stay away from both Russias." He finished.
"...Jer, I will." You reassured them.
"Alright, Friscian." Your grandfather stood up, planting a kiss on your forehead as he walked past you. Sasha ruffled your hair as he walked past. "I must get Sasha back before Viktor notices he's missing."
"Friscian."
After they left you broke down, you were splintering into a thousand pieces. More grief consumed your being. You dragged yourself to the bathroom, a shower would be nice, it would make you feel better.
After your quick shower your crying did not cease, but it was lessened, you got into some shorts and a t-shirt. It's not like the school punishes lateness anyways. You laid down on the long couch, allowing yourself to float into dreamland-bliss.
Heh, 2ps are comin' in hot!
